I refer to Philip Kerr's observation in my partial review of "The Second Angel."

The little micro-machines inside us, the folded proteins that (in combination with dozens of others) do complex things. The data-storage and retrieval aspects of DNA.
However life came about, the incrementalism proposed by Darwinism is a logical impossibility. It will be interesting to see what the next big discovery is. And it won't come via Darwinian theory.

Read this with an open mind: Lust is a Public Health Crisis. I'm generally against anything being raised to the level of "a public crisis." But porn could be the gateway drug to perhaps the central issue of our times: The lack of virtue, particularly temperance. This is good too: I've always said, here we have a true wonder at our fingertips: the ability to see sights around the world, read news of everywhere, communicate with anyone, and enjoy a treasure-trove of books and other information. What is 50% (or more) of the internet engaged in? Porn. I might add, one reason I backed away from StubbornThings is because people were clearly engaging in, and addicted to, political porn. And I have no problem with porn (or political porn), per se. But in moderation. And don't fool yourself about what you're doing. No kidding. And one reason (certainly not the only one) that gender-wacko-ism is tolerated by most is because everyone has a finger in porn (or most do). "Who am I to judge?" has nothing to do with being wise and caring. It has to do with not wanting to be judged because you are doing stuff that is also bizarre and ugly.

Exactly. This is one of the main reasons I am so scornful and rude about the majority of people. It is so easy to check facts and learn what is happening today. One has to be very lazy not to avail oneself of this tool to keep abreast of things. I understand there is a lot of nonsense on the internet, but with a little time and thought, one can filter out most of it.
This was always going to be the case. In the mid-1990s, I predicted that the biggest use of the internet would be porn. I admit that I was a bit surprised how some other areas took off, but anyone who gave this a little thought would know porn would spread like wildfire on the WorldWideWeb.

This is not a subject you probably want to talk about. But my younger brother told me yesterday that there is a rotating commercial on over-the-air TV that advertises some kind of Viagra-like pill for Sodomites. He didn't have many more details other than that he was creeped out by it.
I asked him, "Does it relax the sphincter muscle or something?" He didn't know. He thought it might have something to do with AIDS and reducing internal bleeding. I know. I know. Too much information.

It's at times like this that I miss a "thumbs-down" icon. I have noticed a lot of revolting new commercials on Tubi and such channels. Queers, deviants and perverts are showing up across the board. Then there is the political phenomenon of the disappearance of white people in commercials. It is hard for me to avoid purchasing the products of the companies that run such commercials as I generally don't buy anything from them in the first place.

It may have been this little blue pill: TruvadaOf course, we can think of a better brand name for that pill. Maybe… + Sodomall + Bendoval + Reamadoor And the moon is made of green cheese. I'll believe the above when I see it. Not that I want to see it. But you know what I mean. Maybe. TMI.

Even in the gay community more broadly, PrEP has been stigmatized for supposedly promoting promiscuity. It is not drugs, birth, or any other external causes that promote promiscuity in homosexual relationships. Our natural biology compells us as men and women to reproduce with our partner. In homosexual relationships this is impossible and ultimately leads to unhappiness, even if the couple adopt a child. A situation that is also true of natural heterosexual couples. The biological drive to reproduce never goes away but for homosexuals, knowing the reality, constantly seek approval of their childless lives and seek sexual satisfaction more easily with other unhappy people.

Probably a lot of truth to that. Regarding the fact of homosexual promiscuity, one person explained it thusly: Men are highly promiscuous. Women tend to be coy and more reserved. They balance each other (or once did). But if you take women out of the equation, then you have highly hound-dog promiscuous men seeking other hound-dog promiscuous men. Match and gasoline.

Women tend to be coy and more reserved. Among hertrosexual women that is true. When you gt to the homosexual community my experience leads me to say no. Promiscuity is rampant among lesbians as it is with men. For women, I think the idea I mentioned is magnified just because of women's natural biology. This I think also enhances the frustration and the search for lovers.

Another reason I think Russia is one of the few countries that has not institutionalized lunacy and folded to the pervert lobby. Traditional values Apple: I think techies are prone to dysfunction and insanity.

Well, I could do without the collectivism. And it depends upon what you mean by "humanism." Some of the most dehumanizing notions sound nice….something Russia should be well aware of, having had a hand in implementing so many of them.
And many of these require further articulation. "High moral ideals" sounds nice. But does that means LGBT and "saving the planet" from CO2? Strong family. Check. Spiritual over material. Check. Charity. Check. Justice (they didn't say "social justice"). Check. Historical memory. Check. Continuity between generations. Check. Life. Check. However, "dignity" is another one of those buzz words that can mean anything.
But it at least sounds mostly sane. There's none of the totalitarian language of "inclusion," "diversity," etc.
Then, Mr. Putin, you absolutely must insulate yourself against the West. I'm not sure how that's done.
This Western garbage is spread via means that might be difficult to control. One poster adroitly notes:

Will Thomas is a sexual pervert That is the most important sentence in the entire statement. We can, in a complaisant world, make allowances for people who believe they are Napoleon, Polar Bears, or a stuffed cabbage as long as their decision is recognized by the remaining normal people as a delusion. When we begin giving credence to their fantasy, even if we don't believe it ourselves, it becomes dangerous to the general society. In the 19th century there was a guy in San Francisco who claimed to be the Emperor of North America. He was harmless but deluded and the community actually supported his delusion. However, everyone including I believe Emperor Norton, went along and Norton was harmless. The modern version are not harmless they are either scam artists or so sick that they should be locked up. If Norton were alive today he would be crowned with all seriousness by the government of California. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emperor_Norton

Making allowance for those who think they are Napoleon or a cabbage does not have much effect on society. The rest of us are not confused.
But allowing perverts to claim to be another sex strikes at the foundation of what humans are. If it is left unchallenged confusion and worse will spread through the community.
Hail Emperor Norton I!
