Men may be on the downward slope, but would you want this to be the SWAT team they send to rescue you in a bad situation?

Mr. Kung. Where do you find this stuff? That's hilarious. In the "women's" defense, I'm not sure I could have held on to the bars hanging for that long.
But they dropped their firearms in the water? Oh, bloody hell. Good god. They make the Keystone Cops look competent.
One pithy comment (which is why I love reading some of the comments) was:
Do we have a rim-shot big enough for that one? Another one said what surely Mr. Kung was thinking:
And surely the reality underpinning all of this:

Up until my late thirties, I could have hung on for a long time. In fact, if I found myself in that position, I would have swung my legs up and slid along the rope.
Truth be told, besides being too weak, their technique was terrible. Basically, they all got on to the lines at the same time. This caused the lines to droop somewhat and made sliding across more difficult. Furthermore, those in front slowed down those behind. They should have spaced their crossings and let one or two cross before another got on the line. I am no SWAT commander, but I could see this very quickly.

There you go again, "mansplaining." That, of course, was a logical thought. And all of these women looked a little chubby to manage that...not to mention that it takes a fair amount of upper-body strength to do that.
What? What? What? Well then there goes consensus, "bonding," and acting as a "team". If the didn't cross together, what would become of kumbaya, for after all, it's obvious that these women aren't there because of ability. They are there to serve some purpose other than rescuing hostages.
You ask them to actually follow the laws of physics in terms of zip-line sag? No no no. That just will not do, Mr. Kung. These women were somehow being repressed by someone. This was an outdated, male-favoring test. [Insert joke here for the female-fair test to be put in its place. I couldn't offhand think of anything funny.]

Another example of how incompetence is spreading throughout the society. People die because of this, but the media avoids reporting on it so few people seem to understand.
Not to belabor the point, but "teams" generally have a leader or captain otherwise they generally degrade into a mob. I did not notice anyone in charge of this group.

To continue the discussion of how society has been turned up-side-down by feminism, I accidentally came across this podcast when watching one by Peter St. Onge. After the St. Onge video ended, it somehow connected to the one below.
If anyone wishes to see how and why our society has collapsed, all they need to do is watch this video podcast. It is the "Fresh & Fit" podcast which appears to be broadcast from the U.K. The level of stupidity spouted by the females in this video is stunning. They have plenty of lip, which they mistake for knowledge. Facts are given to them and they say that the facts don't matter because they don't believe them. They are also a bunch of slags.
The fact that our society has a proliferation of these dimwits is a sure sign of our nearing demise. They won't shut up to learn, they won't admit that someone else might be correct, they won't admit that they might be wrong. But worst of all, they are stunningly ignorant of how the world works. They live in "Never-Never-Land."
It seems you have to watch the St. Onge video and then continue to the next video. I will come back and try to see if I can link to it later.

Big Mike (Michele?) I don't trust either of them, just like the Clintons the female (?) is the more dangerous of the two. Barak and Bill both are, for the most part, practical polatians. Hillary and Michele are the true idealoges and both share a lack of restraint. It is not rooted in any kind of feminist ideology but in true totaleratian mind set. The only favor Joe Biden can do the American people is to prevent Michele from running at the convention.

That previous video noted how German BASF was building a multi-billion dollar plant in China. So basically the capital is moving (ironically) to a Communist country in order to escape the even more restrictive domestic Communists.
Although working with the Chinese in this way I say is evil, it is rational from a business standpoint.
And so it is with males. Many are forgoing dating altogether because the women have become so toxic. Of course, there has long been a trade in "importing" Eastern European women as brides. And one could see that trade expanding.
The "1%" men have a better choice. I think it likely that they will still be choosing from a pool of toxic women. But just the innate instincts in play (attaching to a man with resources) means she will, for a time at least, put away some of her feminist bitchdom and "settle."
The 99% of the other guys don't have this choice. They may get lucky and find a less toxic woman. But all women have been steeped in this stuff now. That's why there are reports of men not dating, of forgoing the sexual marketplace altogether.
And yours truly (often sneered or laughed at for such predictions) says that A.I. may find its most abundant use in creating female robots as a viable replacement for these toxic women. And they will most likely be made in China.

Ahhh. The joys of getting old together. Last evening Mdm. Flu had an episode where see basically collapsed on the floor and couldn't get up. I finally got he up into a chair and let her try to recover, but even after a couple of hours she could still not stand up. She had no strength in her legs. We got the EMTs in and they ran a number of tests and determined that she had not had a stroke (I was pretty sure of that in any case) and her other numbers were not much out of the ordinary. This was good to know, I had already checked blood pressure, etc., but there was still the problem of her not being able to walk. So they took her to the hospital and Kung Jr. and I followed. The people in the emergency room ran several more tests and the only thing that came up was that she has the KFF. The doctor said to let her rest a while and take her home. I said her numbers looked ok, but she can't walk. In the end, a nurse tried to help her up and Mdm. Flu still could not walk. They agreed to keep her in the hospital, but over night she would have to stay in emergency because the rest of the hospital was full. I wonder who is filling those beds? So Kung Jr. and I got back home and went to bed at 2:00am. Jr. could sleep, but I didn't get a wink all night. We went back up just before 9:00am and they had transferred her into a normal room. She was much better, but still in bed connected to all sorts of wires and tubes. A new doctor came in and checked her legs and this time she could move them. After going through the list of questions he/we were not any closer to an answer. The question of treating her KFF came up and when it got around to Remdesivir I made clear it was not to be used on her. The previous Dr. had called in a prescription for Paxlovid and the pharmacy, called my wife and asked for some details and told her that it would be $1,300 for a course if insurance did not cover it. A physio came in and worked with Mdm. Flu who could now walk. She was not 100%, but did pretty well. Another Dr. came in and repeated what the first Dr. had said and started talking about the KFF treatment. He also mentioned Remdesivir and I wagged my finger before he could finish and told him that there was to be no treatment with Remdesivir. He saw that there was no point in discussing the subject and after talking a bit more said he would be back tomorrow. After all the tests, they still don't know why she couldn't walk. I mentioned Guillain-Barre' Syndrome although I wondered if it would hit so quickly. He said he was wondering about that too so he wanted to keep her over night. Everyone should know, they are still trying to sell the expensive KFF treatments even though everyone of them admitted that the present strain is rather mild. I would be curious to know how many people stand up to them and tell them to cut the crap and give an anti-biotic (as a prophylactic) and steroids? Anyway, we will be doing a little shopping and heading back up to the hospital shortly.
Yesterday's high here was something between 90 and 92 degrees. When we were driving to the hospital this morning, it was 36 degrees in some areas. When we left last night, the norther was blowing in and it was already in the 50s.

yesterday's high here was something between 90 and 92 degrees Yesterday in Fayetteville the high was 80 and the low was 28 with light snow. Springtime in the South!!! Yes, the KFF is still roving through the medical arena. I had some tests done at Washington Regional Hospital and one of them, I refused was a KFF. Staff are not being required to wear masks, but about half of them are. The funny thing is the nurses and orderlies who deal directly with people are not masking and the support staff and office staff are.

Best wishes and prayers to and for Mdm. Flu. What an ordeal. And to hit suddenly like that. We're ruling out stress and overwork then? I mention this because I know my brother's girlfriend was having bouts recently of finding it difficult to swallow...probably related to stress. Different things, but sometimes stress can take a person down.
On the other hand, was the problem I had a couple years ago with some of my joints (particularly the knees and lower back) related to KFF? Did I have it? Might I, without prior-existing strong bicycle legs, have collapsed? I know in the worst of it that I could find it very difficult just to get out of a chair.
My guess is one in 2000 patients. Good luck to Mdm. Flu and strength to her family. And the weather you guys all have is truly bonkers. Raining cats and dogs here (in torrents) and 48 degrees.

Thanks. I personally believe stress probably has something to do with this. As you can imagine, we are constantly under a lot of stress and some things have happened recently which increase this. Mdm Flu hasn't had any time off, much less a vacation in twenty years.
In any case, they cannot find anything organic which has caused this, and she will be released from hospital later today. All they can say is that the KFF sometimes causes a general weakness which could have contributed to her temporary loss of mobility.
Interesting you mention that. Mdm. Flu had one knee hurting her quite a bit last week and earlier this week. Now it seems to be ok.

I think that's good news that it was nothing organic. I have no words of wisdom about dealing with stress because stress is often inherently bolted on to all the little duties and problems that come along. Yeah, it would be ideal if these things could glide off us like water off a duck's back. But that's not so easy to do. Still, I'm reminded of a line from a dumb (but funny) teenage exploitation film from years back. (St. Elmo's Fire?) I think it was said by Demi Moore: Don't sweat the small stuff. And everything is small stuff.* Such chirpy words of optimism can be annoying. But there is some truth to that idea.
--
*Come to think of it, that might have been a line by Frances McDormand in the quirky dark comedy, Burn After Reading. That movie was hilarious with chirpy little self-help optimistic phrases...the kind that are so annoying. But give the movie credit for making fun of that.

I have become pretty good and not sweating the small stuff. Anyway, what does a teeny bopper (the occupants of St. Elmo's Fire) know about "big stuff?" As you said, "teenage exploitation film."
Unfortunately, having a handicapped child is way past the small stuff and many things which might have been small in normal situations, become rather large. This ranges from personal mistakes, which one could normally easily surmount, to simple bad luck having more lasting negative effects. The consequences of such become magnified. At the very minimum, one is constantly worn down. Certain things in life can't be much helped. This is why I sometimes laugh at the recurrent theme of if one just works hard and follows the American way one can achieve great things. No, sometimes, one can just survive and carry on.
I am amazed at single mothers who take care of their handicapped children. I do not know how they manage. It is difficult enough with two parents. I hold these women in very high esteem.

There's no way to comment on this subject without making an ass of oneself. Words are cheap. The reality of dealing with special-needs children is not generally like you see in the Hallmark movies, and I understand that.
A thought occurs, and it may be irrelevant or just plain insensitive. But a couple of friends of mine both have daughters who are more or less lost to them and lost to the world. One situation is worse than the other, but (I would say) they are two more people sucked into the liberal/materialist/godless vortex of the false Progressive Gods.
Alexander is god's gift in a certain way. He's not lost to you. But certainly you could say the potential you initially foresaw for him is lost. He is who he is. That's heart-breaking. But in a sense, you do have him. And I think of all these parents who have perfectly "abled" children who are literally lost to them. And they are legion.

And generally speaking, he is a very sweet boy. Everyone who encounters him likes him. This is not just a proud father talking. For example, when he "graduated" from elementary school (I know, this didn't happen in our time) all the 5th graders got up and received some sort of diploma. Alexander got one to, but I believe he was too shy to go up to the principal to receive it. Then out of nowhere they pulled down a movie screen and ran a presentation about him. Once it was finished everyone clapped. I can tell you I was very surprised.
Something similar happened when he "graduated" high school.
The boy is very sensitive to the moods of others and the better mood I am in, the better mood he is in. Of course, this is the same for everyone, but multiply it many fold for Jr. Again, he is extremely sensitive and can tell if something is wrong with us immediately.

As one would expect, I got the KFF Thursday night and was out of it all day yesterday. The symptoms were the same as those I had back in December of 2021, but they were not nearly as severe. Headache, upset stomach, 101 fever, muscle aches and lethargy.
Glad to say that I am already feeling better and hope to shake it off over the weekend.

Wow. Forget what I said. Cue the Hallmark Movie. That could bring a tear to your eye. WTG, Alexander!
Isn't there some kind of term limit for this stuff? How many times are we going to have to deal with it? But I'm glad you're feeling better.
As for mood effecting people, yep. But for the record, Reviews&Things is officially a MFZ (mood-free zone). You can bitch, get irritated, speak your mind, give someone "the business," or just be whatever mood you are in. We can deal. The world is FS&S enough as it is (feminine sanitized and safe).
