Nebulas often make for very interesting photos. There's a reason Isaac Asimov used a photo of the Horsehead Nebula (which actually lives up to its name) on the cover of The Universe,

Those pillars in the Eagle Nebula are awe inspiring.

They prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is no creative organizing force behind the universe and all of the cosmos is just a random accident of nature, before nature existed.

A skeptic would say the only organizing force is gravity in regards to the pillars. And they’re likely correct (and the behavior of gases, electromagnetic forces, etc). The question is regarding who or what created the universe (and thus gravity) in the first place.
The pillars do have the ability to jump past the factoids and inspire awe. And “inspiring awe” is something you can’t measure, and yet it exists….and probably has nothing to do with gravity.

Well, I assume one is a cup of black coffee and the other a latte. (It actually looks to me more like cocoa with whipped cream that's melted in.) Did you go to Starbucks? Could photos of their coffee qualify as Nature Photography?

That cappuccino or latte' is a professional grade photo. You should sell that to a coffee producer or chain of coffee shops.

I was testing a new plug-in, Mr. Kung. Supposedly one could just paste in a link and it would automatically show the photo. It didn't work. The photos showing worked by the usual means. I was trying to expand Timothy's ease-of-use so that, perhaps, the links he posted in would automatically show the photos. No dice.

That's a pity. It would be nice to be able to do that.

I don't know what kind of flower this is, but I was out walking the trails the other day and this caught my eye:

That Zion photo looks like one of those HDR ( high-dynamic-range) photos. Many cameras (phone or otherwise) have that as a setting. It's like feeding your images sensor some mescaline.

Through sheer trial and error I shot this gorgeous photos of a pink thing yesterday. I used my old iPhone 6 Plus. If you can get the camera to focus where you want (thus the trial and error), it does a pretty good job. I hear that cameras have gotten even better on the newer phones. [ original]

Very nice. I'm not sure I'd call that pink exactly (a bit purplish, I think). Mostly there are berries of some sort (do you know what plant it is?), but at the top it's something else, and again I'd like to know what.
Incidentally, the phototropolis displays today included a distant scene of Seattle, including the Space Needle. I figured you could do one at least as good yourself, so I didn't bother with it.

I am amazed at the quality photo these iPhones can take. That flower looks like you could reach out and touch it.
