Meet the new babysitter. It could replace the TV in that regard.
Love this comment to the video:

You could be right.
I think this creation is going to be a major tool in detaching people from reality. People already have problems with that today, but AI is going to scramble people's brains so much that most will have absolutely no idea what is real and what isn't. Think of that boy 20 years from now, brought up on the propagandistic pablum the controllers will be pushing. Perhaps this is what our sociopathic overlords are aiming for. Hook us up to the matrix.

I can't imagine what type of loser would go to AI for dating advice. Have people lost all sense of self? Can they not look in a mirror and see their external self? Can they not ask a friend for advice?

Remember the sometimes blunt advice that Dear Abby or Ann Landers would hand out? The same with Dr. Phil. Most problems are not ironed out by blowing a never-ending stream of obsequious compliments up someone's butt.
Is AI ever going to tell a woman to lose weight? For a guy to stop sponging off his parents and get a job? That gets to the heart of it. AI has no standards other than a matrix of maternal, always-pleasing thoughts and ideas.
Personally, I wouldn't have posted that video without a few words of caution. I know on the face of it that it's just some kid talking about his toys. But see how easily that both are seduced by it?
More and more we'll live and work within our personalized space, free from anything that displeases us. It will all be positive-reinforcement, certainly aided and abetted by obsequious AI bots. What that means, in practice (as we already see happening), is that things are "equalized" in the downward direction. Standards are slackened. You're not unhealthily obese. You're "Plus Size".
The pervasive Kindergarten-like atmosphere of DEI will predominate. Rather than meeting challenging thoughts and ideas head-on (which is the only way to objectively improve), we will continue to deflect from any standard commonly known as competence or excellence and instead make excuses for incompetence.
At least on the bottom rungs. On the top rungs, the Lords of Tech and other Deep State Masters will be running and living another game, played by much different rules for themselves. And they will play to our personal narcissistic spaces (PNS's). We will (continue) to be told that if we feel emotions or are exposed to ideas that make us uncomfortable, then those outer sources must be deleted. That's very convenient for an agenda of control.
"Brad, you're crazy. You see all that in some kid talking about his toy?"
Yes, I do. But that kid is just one example. We have hundreds of examples already to draw from. And what no one commented on was the particularly maternal nature of that AI bot. Yes, the voice was female. But a male voice would have had the same shtick. It would have been centered on the Indulgent Comforting Non-Judgemental Female model.
But even as they knew as far back as 1953, they had to "Make Room for Daddy." But they're not. It's all female. It's the thing that only a few will say. And I make no value judgment on that, per se. As I've said, if you want to see the harm of an all-male orientation, see WWI or various similar wars.
It's not male or female, per se, that is the problem. The problem is twofold: The exclusion of one while the other is exaggerated to the point of pathology.

H.G. Wells wasn't so far off when he came up with the Eloi and Morlochs. He got the looks wrong. The Eloi are unhealthy and ugly, while the Morlochs are healthy, looking fine and following fitness regimes like Jeff Bezos, who looked a bit Eloish (or perhaps alien) before becoming a Morloch. For all his healthy living, Zuckerberg still looks like DATA in Star Trek.

Oh my word. Isn't that the truth. The guy has a sinister look to him. If there are indeed people who sell their soul to the devil to gain earthly power and profit, he looks like one of them.
And H.G. Wells was remarkably prescient.

I'm finding AI "assistants" to be totally useless.

Musk is suing the bastards at OpenAI. And I just assume they are bastards because, 1), they lied about their mission statement and, 2) Microsoft is backing them and, 3), Sam Altman impresses me as sort of a creepy fellow.

There's some thought-provoking stuff in this. I don't really want to take time at the moment to parse every significant point. But Elon is certainly worried about AI. And I'm highly dubious about anything good coming from everyone being super-intelligent by their brains being augmented by AI. Elon seems to think this could go either way as far as better or ill.
While watching this, I couldn't help thinking that as smart as Elon is, he seems unaware of Biblical truths. Basically amplifying the desires of people through artificial intelligence is to also amplify their malignancies and deviances. There was no moral angle to this discussion. That itself is a scary as AI and precisely why AI (if it gained independent means, etc.) would be troublesome. It need not value life. It could act like a Democrat and decide that humans can be "aborted" at any time. Still, some good points are made, although I do find Joe Rogan to be a bit hard to take. We have basically elevated Bubba to prophet and philosopher.
