Not sure how you pull off not accepting fat without disapproval (aka "shaming") of being fat. We've just run into the crux of conservative fecklessness: Always saying there is a "nice," non-confrontational way to address the Left -- this in an article that pointed out the problem of "emotional lightweights." Mr. Kung, stop laughing.

After I stop laughing, I am inclined to cry because of the failure of "conservatives" to perform one of their most important functions in society, which is to constantly point out reality.
This sugar-coating of every possible hurt, insult and humiliation has perverted the language and blurred reality for too many. You cannot solve a problem until you can clearly articulate what the problem is.
Today, we cannot clearly articulate anything lest we offend the fat dachshund down the street. No society can function this way very long. Of course, this is the plan of the communists who have been pushing this agenda to detach words from their meanings. Mass confusion, which will be followed by mass insanity, which will be followed by mass conformity to escape the insanity.
That is why I do not believe in handling people with kid gloves when they display their pathologies, particularly so when they try to force you to accept their lunacy. My belief is that one must be firm and tell these nuts, "You are insane and we need to deal with that if you won't or can't. Society cannot afford to have a bunch of loonies running around the streets spreading their craziness and disrupting things."
As to resilience, let me say a large percentage of, particularly young, Americans are a bunch of especially soft marshmallows. They have been indulged from the time they came out of the womb. Why this is so would take a lot more time and thought than I wish to give it, but I suspect one of the main reasons is the phenomenon of "one-child" families. Not only do the parents shower attention on the one child, but the child does not have to compete and adjust to other siblings in the home. Talk about a recipe for spoiled wimps.
In the end, life's rules are fairly straightforward. When you get knocked down, you have two choices, you can 1) get back up and try again, 2) stay down and die. The choices are simple. I didn't say easy.

I think that's exactly how it works.

Still waiting for the venture capital money. But when Kung, Nelson, and Artler University opens, you're slotted in for teaching Snowflake 101. Good god. People would pay just to watch that class from the gallery. I know I would.

1) get back up and try again, 2) stay down and die. The choices are simple. I didn't say easy. It is the simple lessons in life that are often the most difficult to really grasp. We have far too many young people today who only learn lesson #2. The death they have chosen is one of drugs. That is not to say at every time in our national history there are not people who are unhappy or angry with life, but today I think the numbers per capita are higher. They are seeking death and more often than not don't know it.

Young Americans Returning to SmokingRemember what your parents used to say when your defense for doing something was that other kids were doing it? They would respond, "If your friend told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that too? That answer today is: Yes:

I believe the answer has always been "yes" for a large percentage of yutes. Perhaps, it is simply a larger percentage today.

Maybe social media magnifies the percentage of cliff-jumpers. I wouldn't doubt it.

What is scary is that I have seen people who are about as large as these two. One would have thought it rare, but it is not.

The best argument against democracy. Or the result of a plan to bring down America? Duh! As I have said before, I can, sometimes, understand (even sympathize) with those in power. They look out and see a bunch of idiot sheep who don't even realize they are being sheared.

Yikes. As one commenter said: I admit to scratching my head at one question: Name three countries in North America. Well, the United States, Canada, and…. Aren’t the rest of them that lie between the United States and Columbia just third-world Central American shit-hole countries? I don't think that North American need claim Mexico or Cuba. And it won't be long until Canada is an embarrassment. But love the one answer when this idiot chick gave the names of three American states. I give her higher marks than the other idiot who said “United Kingdom, Europe.” At least this previous chick was on the right side of the ocean. We must give thanks for small miracles.
Another pithy comment:
Well, yeah, there is that. We assume mere indoctrination into gender weirdo-ism accounts for people believing that a man can have a baby. But let's at least consider that some people are so ill-informed and ignorant that they honestly have no idea that a man can't have a baby. If Nebraska can be a country in North America then, yeah, maybe a man can have a baby.
Yep. Took me years to figure out who the Kardashian sisters were and why anyone cared. Check that, I still don't really know.
Finally, a comment from someone after my own heart:
Yep. That's the way I feel.

That was my first reaction, but I thought to myself, if he had asked me that question, I would have said, "It depends on how you define North America." When we were growing up, North America was exclusively Canada and the USA. Sometime in the late 1970s/early 1980s, some started including Mexico in this area. Who knows why.

You must watch this video. The man being abused is a "dating coach" who says most British women are fat and entitled, etc. This drives the women around him (including Piers Morgan) crazy. The man was trying to be polite, but they kept piling on. I would have told that woman next to him that she is, easily, 40lbs overweight, has poor sartorial taste as exemplified by her blouse which was much too tight and is trying to take attention from her face and body with her weird hair dye. Finally, she is projecting her insecurities on me. Fat, lazy and drunk

Gee...I can't imagine why guys don't like these cunt women in the UK. And that beta-male talking-head has long ago basically cut off his balls and stapled them to a photo of Gloria Steinem. I may not believe there is anything but male and female, but this guy makes a case that there is indeed a female-male.
Good call.

I just noticed I left out the word "tight" when saying the woman's blouse was "much too."

It was just "much too." That said it all. I was constantly distracted....and not by her cleavage (which wasn't there) but by her sloppy dress.
