This great was from a time when even I followed basketball. He, Wilt Chamberlaine and Bill Russell were a delight to watch. I particularly liked Wilt the Stilt. Jerry West has passed away

I follow European politics, especially German, Swiss and Austrian, pretty closely. The press constantly badmouths the AfD. It is therefore something of a small miracle that they came second in Germany's vote for the European Parliament. Their 16% is somewhat lower than the 20% which most polls show them to have otherwise.
We should see just how strong they have become over the next 3-5 months as some Germany Bundeslaender, our version of states) will have elections for regional seats. As it now stands, the AfD appears to be the strongest party in these states, and if they win the elections, and are able to form governments, it will be a major change in German politics.

I believe it is just as possible that we continue to stumble along, going lower and lower into mediocrity and disorganization. Like a watch slowly winding down. Some sort of violence will likely take place and grow during this period, but it could take a long time before things blow up. Of course, our sociopathic, leftist overlords might push so hard that violence will be seen as the only alternative.

I asked an Austrian friend for his thoughts on the European Parliament elections and he wrote back,
In most of the countries we „right wingers“ won mandats, but the European peoples party-alas- as well. The Greenies and socialist lost, but not enough…☹
I am afraid nothing essential will change, they want to reinstall van der Leyen, who backs Ukraine with all means. Good night old Europe☹☹! We do hope Trump gets elected!

I'd say that AI came around at the right time to replace humans who are making themselves ultimately replaceable.
Not having any friends in the antifa/Hamas/BLM/Jew-hating leagues, I can't answer to or predict what will set them off. But it's highly unlikely that (aside from lesbians or blacks) that women will make a stink. Hell, they have men in their locker-room and stealing their trophies and they aren't making a fuss.
Same with the pot- and tattoo-addled "men" who, much like some of the transgenders, are only pretending to be men. I don't see anything but weak passivity from most of them as they put more head-space into trying to live off welfare than they do trying to make anything work, including themselves.
And that once-stable backbone of decent middle class values has all but vanished, at least in areas that count. Stockpiling tons of gun and ammunition at home does not count as pushing back. It's another form of passivity by Bubba.
I would expect that outer forces will move things, whether that's Russia, North Korea, or the Chinese throwing their weight around. An evil force not on everyone's radar could be India. I don't trust that country as far as I can throw it. And someone threw it into the Himalayas a long time ago. They call it "continental drift," but I'm not so sure some other continent or people didn't just get tired of them.

When Europeans kicked Christianity to the curb for sake of "reason," they were lost. I don't see any scenario where Europe doesn't become Europestan. They are screwed. All these little party movements is just rearranging the chairs on the Titanic. Unless and until they get to the core issue -- Godless socialism -- they will not be addressing the issue.

I believe I have mentioned this place before. It is named Kuby's after the owner, who comes from a long line of butchers stretching back about 300 years to Kaiserslautern, Germany. It is a two minute walk from one corner of the SMU campus. I started going there in the mid 1970s. After returning to Texas, we would visit the place several times a year, especially at Christmas time. They have a wonderful restaurant with German specialties. But they seem to make the most money from their grocery store and butcher shop. Their home-made sausages are fantastic. This interview was with the son. I don't know if old Mr. Kuby is still alive as it we have only been back a couple of times since the KFF. He would be in his early-to-mid nineties if he is alive. That said, the son understands what needs to be done to help the economy. Kuby's

By coincidence, after I wrote that, one of the "revolutionary" pro-Vietcong characters in an FBI episode had attempted to bomb a military depot. His first attempt was a failure. But one of the FBI guys says, "When they stop believing in God, they have to believe in something."
Okay, maybe that's too abrupt for the Snowflakes out there. But truly we see that as the West believes in "nothing" that they are choosing to believe in "anything." I just thought it was funny that this came out of a 70's Quinn Martin production. Ahead of its time.

Kunstler's latest. S ick and done with I hope Kunstler is correct, but there is a coalition of America-haters who will stop at nothing to destroy America, which means they must keep the Demonrats in power. These people are satanic scoundrels who have the thievery of elections down pat.

LOL. Good piece of writing, there. Interesting point. Well, I'll hardly argue against that point. It would be truly shocking to read those views if I hadn't said much the same thing myself. Whether we are sick and done with liberal women, I don't know.

The "panic" which one hears about "rare earth" metals is often tiresome. Rare earths are not rare. But they are not generally concentrated in quantities large enough to mine on their own. As I believe I have mentioned before, China's control of this area arose from the tailings of a large iron ore complex in Inner Mongolia. There are rare earth deposits around the world, but China has been able to control the market due to the low costs initially associated with that big tailings dump, but more so because the process of extracting rare earths from ores is very dirty using acids to refine the material. Given the West's policies on pollution, we have been happy to let China spoil it's environment instead of producing necessary materials for ourselves. I find such articles as that below to be hype in order to lure in investors. Big Rare Earth Discoveries

Marie Le Pen's "National Rally" party, previously known as the "National Front," has decisively won the first round of parliamentary elections in France. The party appears to be on the way to something like 34%, while Macron's party is about 28%. National Rally received almost three times the number of votes it did in 2022, and this in the biggest voter turnout in some forty year. There is a second round of voting next week to determine winners in districts where no majority was gained in the first round. Macron's party, and the left, are calling for all "third" parties to withdraw from the next vote and unite to beat Le Pen. So National Rally is not completely out of the woods yet. Like we in the USA, France also has a uniparty. It needs to be crushed. I have been listening to some of these losers speak after the results started coming in and they are worse than the liars we have here. Puke. Viva Le Pen

Europeans don't have much time to dick around with this. They either throw these bums out or get consumed by them. Half measures won't cut it.

It's at least 90 degrees right now in Bremerton. The last few days have been hot. No regrets, though. I love it, although I was out biking/hiking/trail-clearing today. And the part of the trail I was working was in direct sunlight. I could last only a half hour before calling it quits. But it was nice to get out. I'm now indoors listening to "Sunday Hornpipe" (generally Celtic music) on 91.3 FM Belletard College. You can stream it from the myTuner Radio app. These college kids are whacked. Don't read that web site, Mr. Flu, unless you want to join me in celebrating Perversion Month. But the Sunday Hornpipe is something that's been a regular show for at least 30 years. I like it. It's different.
