What happens if a grenade is tossed down a tank barrel?

This makes more sense. The guys making the video suggest that it is a bad idea to get close to the barrel of a tank, machine guns and all that. However, Assam,ing someone crazy enough to actually reach the barrel, a thermite charge is the best option for disabling the main gun. There is a possibility of a fragmentation grenade causing enough damage to the barrel but not a possibility I would bet my life on. The intense temperature of thermite could warp the barrel enough to make it unusable, so that a projectile would lodge in the barrel and possibly explode. On the whole if you need volunteers to stuff a grenade in as tank barrel, let Mikey do it.

Personally, I was always partial to this method. Failing that, I think a thermite grenade would have to do. I know, I know my guys were only handling a cannon.
