Humility, to some extent, goes hand-in-hand with knowledge. One first must suppose the possibility that one isn't omniscient.

I can't argue with that. Remember when Daniel Hannan in Great Britain summed it up as: "You cannot carry on forever squeezing the productive bit of the economy in order to fund an unprecedented engorgement of the unproductive bit."

Your friend's use of the word, "parasite," is completely apropos. As far as why this is possible, feminism, safetyism, and the power of irrational women voters is the fuel. In particular, their understanding of "compassion" has very much aided and abetted social parasitism. It provides absolutely no safeguards for recognizing and dealing with the dishonest games humans play. This Compassionate Karen Aristocracy seems to always take at face value the complaints of the parasites without even once considering if there are ulterior motives. Maybe the real problem is laziness, not being oppressed, for example...a distinctly male viewpoint, although women used to be able to see things in that same light.

But then, as I've been saying, feminism is built upon the same branch of entitlement, victimhood, social parasitism, and grievance as all the other parasites. They can't chop off the branch they are sitting on so, of course, they see everyone else as fellow oppressed travelers. And when the more objective and discerning aspects of males are cast aside and labeled "toxic" or "uncaring," parasitism and irrationalism run rampant.

Would your friend consider this a crank statement from some marginal conservative flake? I don't know. But if he wants to know the whys of it all, he should reread the above and consider it in the cold light of reality.

There simply must be a course correction away from the evils of the Left. To a large extent, we need to be saved from ourselves.

I never liked Clinton, but never to the extent where he was living in my head rent-free 24/7. Never was I (as many do...especially the cat ladies) sitting at home playing political warrior on Facebook all day with my fists balled up in furry over the idea that someone, somewhere, was not thinking correct thoughts.

I realized the serious repercussions of electing degenerate and dishonest leaders, but never did I lose site that there was still a life to be lived outside of politics.

So, with all due respect to Trump's ability to drive the Left nuts, the Left is so wound-tight in their narcissistic ideology that anyone who threatens their beliefs and power will get the same treatment, although I admit that Trump puts a little extra spin on things.

We need not be afraid to see what we see. And what we've seen is the "natural selection," if you will, of this state of affairs. The power of Leftist oppressors is, ultimately, about inculcating self-censorship. This, I believe, is the real reason that RINOs are RINOs. They are, for all intents and purposes, the ideological cuckolds of the Left. They will not cross them overtly.

Anyone who stands up to this pernicious and sinister cult will ultimately get the same treatment...if it is in their power to dispense such treatment. More than a few Jews, for instance, may have lately gotten that message.

Asshole and morally compromised. A shame.

Not you, but a lot of people are nostalgic about Reagan and suppose he got along with the press better. Nope. They were a hostile pack of hounds too.

Lincoln might be a better equivalent. They savaged him, even before the rebellion. All are ultimately in the same company: they took shots at all three men. Killed Lincoln. Seriously wounded Reagan. And just narrowly missed Trump. And you can be sure they won't stop trying.

As I've said before (it's rather simple, but astonishingly true): The Left's ideology gains power via man's worst instincts. There is only death and slaughter wherever they come to power. Killing the unborn by the millions is merely an appetizer for them.
