Buzz One FourViewed on Amazon Prime Video (included with basic subscription) • or rent Info: IMDB • (2017) • Buzz One Four websiteGenre: documentary Runtime: 60 minutes Writer/Director: Matt McCormick Quick Rating: This is basically a one-man project by Matt McCormick. It has an almost home movie quality to it and is the better for it. A good story and some great archival footage included. Summary: Crashed planes, lost nuclear bombs, and an Air Force cover-up: a filmmaker unpacks the secret history of how his grandfather nearly blew-up the eastern seaboard.
I’d never heard of this specific story. I won’t say much more about it because most of the interest is in finding out what happens as the documentary unfolds. Is this a tribute to the B-52 Stratofortress and her crews? A leftwing anti-military hit piece? A personal family tale? This is a story that mostly stays on the scale of the personal. This is not some big polished production (or, at least, it has taken pains not to be seen as such). The writer/director offers some book suggestions at the end of this. I could also suggest for a companion book the excellent The Day We Lost the H-Bomb. Overall, this is an excellent project by Matt McCormick.

Is this the story of the plane that crashed off of North Caroline (I blv) and they were not able to find the H-Bomb which was lost in the ocean?

I checked on imdb (wikipedia didn't list it), and a review by a pilot was critical of the teaser on the grounds that they never really lost the bombs. The plot description was minimal, so that's about all I can say. (The review was quite favorable for the documentary itself.)
