Of course, that is true. But my post was a sort of reminder of the types of things which people do that lead to their own and their children's destruction. I did this knowing that the irresponsible, and those in the "arts" are more prone to nuttiness than conservatives in general.
I admit I don't know where the nickname comes from.

It comes very early in this video. Heard that once and never forgot it:

I'm sorry the kid is dead. But his mother is a cunt. This bitch from hell had to be a central factor. Now she's blaming Ireland, the health service, and probably everybody but herself.

I have a excuse. I was never a fan of SNL. I saw a few clips of it in the early days, but even then I wasn't impressed. It also helped that I lived overseas from the middle seventies until two thousand. As regards these types of programs, I was much more impressed with "That Was the Week that Was." Perhaps that is why I never became entangled with "social media." I'm too old-fashioned.

Early on (and even later), some of the stuff was funny. I would say, on average, that about 10 minutes of any one show was funny. The rest was painfully dull and unfunny.
I wasn't watching SNL by the time Phil Hartman came around (must have caught this one in a "best off" video), although I admit he was one of the better deadpan comics on the show. His Adobe ad is hilarious:
As is his Colon Blow ad:
You got to laugh at anything that is a take-down of Yuppies.

This isn't a moral quandary. I know exactly what I'm going to do.
I ordered a case of paper from Amazon. We had snow in the meantime. Shipping delayed. That's understandable. I got one of those "I know we're running late…" messages when checking the delivery time at Amazon. For about a week and a half it kept promising "Will be there by 8:00 pm."
I then started getting this message: "Your package may be lost. You can request a refund but it might show up in the meantime." I didn't want to cause any problems so I thought I'd just keep waiting.
But it never showed. Then on this past Sunday I checked the status of this order on Amazon and it said it had been delivered. I checked further and got the UPS delivery info. It was signed for by some guy I'd never heard of.
So I never received the case of paper but apparently somebody else had. I then went to Amazon's website to start the refund process. You are offered a list of reasons for the return. But nowhere is it listed "I never received the product." So I just had to choose one.
I then printed out the UPS label that was automatically generated. But I didn't have anything to stick it to. I didn't have a case of paper I was returning. So I just stuck it to an envelope and included a message inside that I had never received the paper and that UPS had apparently misdirected it. UPS picked up this envelope yesterday.
Well….this morning I got a text message from Amazon saying they were crediting me for the paper. I thought that was awful white of them. And then an hour later UPS came in with a box. I opened it and it was the missing case of paper.
I will not return this paper or bring it to Amazon's attention that I received it so that they can cancel giving me the credit. The reason is not greed or trying to get something for nothing. It's that I know that if I start any kind of process for this box of paper it's going to get double screwed up on their end. I could see getting another case of paper and/or being charged twice.

Good thing you didn't urgently need this paper. Don't think Amazon would have covered lost profit or penalties for late delivery to your customer.

It was just a general re-stock, Mr. Flu (20 lb. bond). I didn't need it right away. And lucky thing. Believe me, with all of the screwing around I did on this, I think I earned that $46.99 credit.

I ordered a case of paper from Amazon
I had a similar problem not long ago, also due to weather. My order did not go to the wrong address but just disappeared for about 10 days. I gave up and checked the seller feedback box on the order page. I stated the product had not been delivered and wanted to cancel the order. I assume this stared algorithm at Amazon and received notice by email the product would arrive in two days or less. It was in my mail box the next day. The refund that I had started was cancelled with delivery.
A lot of Amazon products are shipped from third party sellers. I don't know if that was the case with your paper but when I have the opportunity to contact a seller directly who does business with Amazon the system seems to work.

I didn't offhand see anywhere in the order that it was from a 3rd party although I know that many are. It could still work out that the refund does not go through. And I wouldn't complain about that. I got my paper. But I sure as heck am not going to beg them to charge my card again. That could get ugly. Once the chain-of-normal-events goes wrong in a transaction, experience has shown me to just stop digging the hole....at least if it comes out in your favor.

All I can say is my apologies for plaguing our Union with Patty Murray. I had read that she ran some interference for Fauci. I am truly and sincerely sorry. I'm embarrassed that my state would elect such a Commie dunce to the Senate. More than once.

Dunce being the operative word here. I recall seeing her on TV after she was first elected. I can't remember what she was talking about, but she was truly as dumb as a rock.

As they say, perhaps we shouldn't be too insulting to the intelligence of rocks by comparing them to Murray:

That's perfect. I wanted to come up with something like that, but couldn't think of anything that worked. Excellent!

I am amazed that someone has come out and said this. People of color are enviousThis is not only the case in the USA. There is a large wellspring of envy and dislike for the European former colonial powers across the world. Despite our history with slavery, the USA had a lot of good will across the world until the Vietnam War. Since that time, it has been squandered along with our wealth and power. For decades, the "third world" accepted slights, and worse, from the West, but they learned how to copy it. Now, things have changed economically and with this change, some clarity arises. There is no doubt in my mind that this schadenfreude, apparent in the non-Western world, is a major reason virtually all of Asia, Africa and South America are not willing to apply sanctions on Russia. They like to see the West, particularly the Anglo-Saxons, get their comeuppance. Why this was not obvious to our "leaders" shows how out of touch they are as regards our actual relative power and the mood in the rest of the world.

An interesting piece regarding the way the news media now avoids mentioning the race of criminals and why this is so. Just the facts ma'am I have previously noted that a year or so after moving to the USA Mrs. Fu was somewhat stunned by the racial breakdown of criminals which one saw on TV. It was very clear which groups committed the most violent crimes. Today, living in virtual reality, we don't notice. Living in virtual reality is killing this country.
