Bluegrass, being mostly Celtic in nature is also mostly white. It is one of three branches of "American" music. as for the others, you correctly identify Blues/jazz as mostly Black. the other is of course Classical. In much of the music of the 30s-50s all three combined into their big band sound and then split off into separate genres. Classical music went to the movies and elements can be found in Andrew Lloyd Webber and the sound tracks of many movies, especially movies from the 50s-60s Corngold and Rosa are two examples. Jazz took a turn into Broadway, with Al Jolson, and with the musicals of 40s-60s. Bluegrass has remained remarkable ably unchanged over the last 300 yers. It still hails from the highlands of Kentucky, Tennessee and the Carolinas, Nefesh Mountain is a good example. Modern Rock has deep roots in Jazz, with a mix of classical. Hip hop and rap are just badly done noise and suitable for pestering dictators when played loud enough.

I used to work at a place where my co-worker and friend listened to a lot of country music on the radio. She was of the same opinion that I was: There was a lot of fake "twang" going on.
I mean, I can't say I'm a yuge fan of Conway Twitty or Hank Williams. But there is certainly something more authentic about their music than these blowdry-airheads who put on the country "twang" and bore everyone to death with their vanilla "country music."
Say what you will of Dolly Parton, but I see her as authentically country, not a put-on. I also liked Kenny Rogers who was a yuge part of the country-crossover sound in the 80's. Think "The Eagles" as well.
I think Garth Brooks has just made himself the official douche-bag of faux country music stars. Too big to fail? I certainly hope not. Flush him down the toilet with a rack of Bud Light. Hey...that might be the beginnings of a good country music song.

I first saw Dolly Parton on the Porter Wagoner Show in the sixties. The below clip is toward the end of her time there. Dolly and Porter I could not stand his suits. And I have to admit that I thought both were genuine hicks. Imagine my surprise when Dolly went mainstream.

If I were god (after having all the restaurants safely evacuated), I would burn down every Starbucks in existence. Or, rather, I would confiscate them and turn each and every one of them into private colleges. But I admit, the Fire and Brimstone in me leans toward scorched earth.
I will drink piss before every drinking another latte from them. I haven't been there in years. And when I did go, it was simply a place to take my mother. She liked it.

No real surprise here that the new Indiana Jones movie is completely woke/feminist man-hating (and Indiana-Jones-hating) nonsense.
This video is worth a view because these guys are definitely Normals. They talk like we do. That alone is rare enough to find online.

I believe I have said this before, "I have no interest in watching the latest Indiana Jones movie." That said, I did take the time to watch the video you attached and the guys were regular people. That is good, but the down side is that two out of three were old guys like us, and one is a Brit. (I believe) What, if anything, does that say about the future of the Los Estados Unidos?

I reminded of stories of saints and nuns whose bodies are unearthed and they are found to be uncorrupted. The was a story about a nun on this subject just the other day.
When they look into the graves centuries into the future of The Normals, they will also find the uncorrupted. They could find them now if they wanted to. But they don't want to.
I've noticed that, on average, it takes about 5 years until yutes even start to notice the crap that is being fed to them. And then when they do acknowledge it, they don't really understand it nor know where it's come from.
So the short answer, Mr. Flu, is that don't worry about the kids when we are gone. They will be told exactly what to think, for life will then be easier for them.

If this is the case, and it most probably is, then the advertising industry bears a huge responsibility for the gullibility of the population.
Here is a comment from Anheuser-Busch's "Global Chief Marketing Officer" regarding Bud Light's precipitous fall from its no. 1 perch.
Let me parse that.
It's tough to see the controversial and divisive debates that have been happening in the U.S. in the last couple of weeks.....
Meaning. Damn, some people are actually paying attention to the garbage we churn out in the media and had the gumption not to roll over and play dead. This is not supposed to happen.
"It's tough exactly because what we do is all about bring people together."
Meaning. I lie like a rug. What we do is actually about selling product. I don't give a shit about "bringing people together" except in so far as it prods them to guzzle more horse piss called Bud Light.
Marcondes said companies and brands should be driven by their values..
Partially true, but in fact a lie by omission. Anheuser-Busch's values 1, 2 and 3 are "sell more horse piss." That is what drives them, but he avoids saying this.

I'm going to assume that at least some people who talk like this believe it mostly. But it obviously is a learned dialect.
Granted, we know for sure that there are crafty PR people who craft this stuff and don't believe it, or at least use it strictly for utilitarian/marketing purpose.
But I think more and more people (mostly on the left, but not entirely) have learned to speak this Mealy-Mouth language. And the brain tends to follow what the mouth is doing.
You must have gotten hold of Captain Kirk's universal translator. It's working well.
We can only guess who is creepily sincere and who is just dropping lines because they think it's either profitable or a way to score social points.
But we know for a fact that executives in many companies are not precisely considering the profit motive when spouting this Mealy-Mouthed stuff. We see from Bud Light that sometimes it hurts the profit to go woke. But they still do it anyway and (like the Dodgers) double-down on it. Probably only at the point where it becomes blatantly commercially suicidal will they stop it...or at lest tone it down.
Disney knows the harm that "woke" does to the bottom line yet look at the latest Indiana Jones movie (which you won't do and I certainly won't do). This stuff is produced as a means to change the culture. This stuff (as that one review of the Indiana Jones movie noted) is meant to please that cunt, Kathleen Kennedy. Profit is secondary to many of these kooks.

No doubt that is often the case. I also suspect that this approach has been very cleverly developed by the powers that be in order to "inspire" their worker bees that what they are doing is good, almost sacred, not just about something so banal, and even evil, as making money.
To convince the suckers that they are "special people doing good" is a powerful motivator.

Just so lone as they don't bring their politics with them. They are returning to the real world, no more crazy. “If you love your children, you need to flee California. You need to flee,” said Republican state Sen. Scott Wilk.
The senator himself announced his plans to leave once his legislative term expires.
“I was born and raised in this state. I love this state, but I’m not going to stay in this state. It’s just too oppressive, and I believe in freedom, and so I’m going to move to America when I leave the legislature,” Wilk said.thefederalist.com/2023/06/23/poll-4-in-10-californians-have-considered-fleeing-the-state/

If you could get 6 in 10 Californians not to vote for these Leftist flakes, then you'd have something.
I don't think that's particularly meaningful. Even if California was not Libtardville, there would be 27 percent of the people who said, "California's policies and laws do not reflect my political views." The point is to make sure that the 27 percent who say this are the fringe Left...out of power and not causing trouble for the rest of the Normals.
I don't know that The Big Apple isn't far behind. But how ironic that a bit of reality creeps in and these places are becoming a living example of the dystopia that Leftism brings.
This may not seem like much. But we need that from politicians. We need them to state the formula: "Because of A, we have B." We don't need phony Donald Trumps who claim Florida is the place that is really horrible and complain about the Deep State while acting to further its interests (KFF) or just being a weak Shakespearean punching bag. ("Will no one rid me of this turbulent Deep State?")
Shouldn't the margin of error for a California poll be more like 30%. I mean, it seems likely many of those polled don't know what to think or even how to think. This is a large reason they are running the state into the ground.
That is a somewhat startling number...even for California, given that on the Titanic you'd still have a base of 15% who thought the ship was being run well. So that low number does seem significant.
This paragraph can too easily slide by unnoticed. The point is, those who pine for Utopia are never going to find it. And as they pine harder, they make things worse.
I seriously doubt that there are more than a dozen Californians who will fess up to the fact that their naive dreams just aren't working out. You can't try to deduce what is going on in regards to the satisfaction or dissatisfaction of a place as to what "reflects their values and political beliefs" without making note of this inherent contradiction. Californians are simply unable to parse "works/doesn't work" via any normal or rational means. Their ultimate goals are "unsatisfiable." There are no "good vibrations" at the end of their Utopian rainbow.
