This isn’t exactly a case of woke. But didn’t anyone at Red Lobster notice how fat Americans have become. A contributing factor to their bankruptcy:

When I first heard of "endless shrimp" I thought someone at Red Lobster was mad. One doesn't only have to consider how fat Americans have become. As I have mentioned elsewhere, Chinese at an all-you-can-eat buffet will often go crazy. It got so bad in Singapore that some of the better restaurants, the Mandarin Hotel comes to mind, had to institute a policy of making customers pay for any food left on their plates after they finished attacking the buffet. The term for this type of behavior in Singapore is kiasu. Letting seafood-loving Chinese have at an "endless shrimp" meal would signal the end of any restaurant. I'm surprised Red Lobster lasted this long.

Way back when in the 80s, there was a pizza place called Pizza Haven. They had an all-you-could-eat lunch on Tuesday, I think. We Kiasued quite a few slices of pizza back then. We would always joke that they weren’t making any money off of us. And that was probably true. They did go out of business later. But I don’t know why.

The first "new" Mad Max (Mad Max: Fury Road) film was a ridiculously fun romp. I liked it in spite of myself. It was over-the-top and self-consciously meant to be. My brother told me the other day that the sequel (presented as a prequel, I guess) is tanking at the box office. A Max-less Mad Max: The new Mad Max movie is another victim of ‘Go Woke. Go Broke.’Don't bother reading the article. It's not worth anyone's time. But the point is, this woke crap is tanking. That's good news. I like this one comment to the article:

Maybe the solution is to give the progs a whip and let them begin self flagellation.

Neither had I, but just reading the piece made me feel better.

I get almost as much pleasure out of seeing that as I did seeing Anheuser-Busch lose billions in value after the Bud Light fiasco. I wonder how much, if any, the government will give to Ford to help with said losses?

Justine Bateman: Not an idiot liberal woman.
An interesting point that Bateman makes is that she thinks wokeness has hit a wall due to an abatement or breaking of the mob mentality. I think to some degree she is correct.
Granted, there are entrenched institutional and moneyed interests. But, really, how long will it be until Disney does the obvious and fire Kathleen Kennedy who has destroyed at least three major franchises? (Star Wars, and Indiana Jones, and I forget the other. Willow? A comic book movie?). That will be a litmus test. Watch for it if wokeness is indeed being broken at its core.

This company is headquartered in the U.K. which is the leader in Wokedom. It has become a tyrannical state where merely expressing an opinion can land one in prison. Wokism is demanded by the government, regardless it be Conservative or Labour.
One should recall that buggery has a long and respected tradition in the U.K. All those years that the children spend in public schools are, no doubt, a significant contributor to that tradition.
"Likely"? That perv stinks of "queer" so strongly that one would need to have a perfume-doused handkerchief covering one's nose to get within twenty feet of him. Something more genteel people would do when going to the galleys. On the other hand, that brand manager might feel like a kid in a candy shop in this situation.
