I originally heard about this just after the first court case had found for the bakery to the tune of some $40+ million. As I recall, that amount was reduced because of some technicality in the tort law of Ohio.
Normally, getting one's money from such cases can be difficult, but since Oberlin has a substantial endowment and physical campus, I think the bakery might be able to close the place down if they don't pay. If I were the bakery owner, I would not negotiate for one less penny than the court awarded me.

There's a "pound of flesh" that is more than due for the bakery.

More Death-to-Disney stuff: I'm not buying Kimberly Fletcher's "the power of the mom's" theme. Women have been the driving factor in this "woke" stuff. I don't see them reversing it anytime soon. But one foundational truth was quoted in the article: Been saying that for years as well. A decent person must necessarily swim upstream against the culture. Going with the flow is morally fatal.

One thought from that piece on Dollywood that I thought was an extraordinary piece of writing was this: If most mothers had this power of discernment, we wouldn't have 3/4 of the problems that we do.

Here is the latest good news on the situation at Oberlin, mentioned previously. The Ohio State Supreme Court has refused to hear Oberlin's appeal. That means, the only other court to which Oberlin can appeal is the Supreme Court of the USA. The writer doesn't believe that will happen. It will be very sweet for the family owning the bakery to receive a certified cashier's cheque for US$36,000,000.00! Oberlin loses again Short of shooting the bastards behind this defamation, this is the only thing leftists will take note of. The dumb bitch of a Dean who caused this problem first stepped down from her position to teach again, and then resigned to take up a job at a small Georgia college. I wonder if Oberlin can go after her for some of the money?

It took six years, which is not overly long in our bullshit legal system, but Oberlin has given up. Oberlin pays $36 million to bakery Oberlin made the statement below. The only "partial truth" in that statement is "This matter has been painful for everyone," particularly Oberlin. Oberlin didn't expect the pain they got, but they certainly meant to cause Gibson's enormous pain. Therefore, I seriously doubt that Oberlin wants the "healing of our entire community." This is just another dishonest stock phrase bureaucracies put out these days after they have had their asses kicked for one or another wrong they have committed. Dishonest kumbaya. Of course one could read "our" community as meaning the people connected to Oberlin not the rest of the people in the town. That would be honest.

Not that anyone here should be surprised but my review of Rings of Power was rejected. It was exactly the same as I posted here not long ago. Thank you for submitting a customer review. These are dangerous people who can write something like that with a straight face. By not including your review, they are attempting to manipulate "Community" (why the capital "C"?) content. These people are Nazis and think like Nazis. Or perhaps, more aptly, Cult Communists. "If you don't think like I do, your views are false, misleading, dishonest, and most decidedly strictly prohibited." What a bunch of rat bastards.

When I read Amazon's response it hit me how mendacious they are. They frame statements in such a way as to sound like they are objective and reasonable guidelines when in truth they are dishonest poses which leave acceptance or rejection at their unchallenged/unchalleangable discretion.

I understand that the sending of illegal aliens by Abbott and DeSantis to places like D.C., NYC and Martha's Vinyard are stunts, but they would appear to be getting people's attention, so they are effective stunts. Besides that, I can't help but love the discomfort they are causing leftists in their own nests. Available accommodations for illegals

As I have warned, this is what happens when your country is run by traitors and fuckwits (pardon my French.) The rest of the West is not far behind. German economy ist kaputt A Brit, who I follow, had to stay in a 4-star English hotel over the weekend and he said that there was no hot water, no central heating and no internet. Europe is finished.

I have never been a big Dilbert fan, but the cartoonist appears to be willing to poke the woke. For this alone, he will receive my praise. Media company drops Dilbert

And that is only the most obvious case. Yet, these idiots/criminals didn't have the perspicacity of a retarded gnat when planning for this and other very predictable possibilities.

This shocking piece would seem to contradict the "from woke to broke" meme which we often hear. Rather it confirms Brad's musings about HR departments and diversity insanity in American corporations. That in turn confirms my musings about the decline of excellence in America and the increasing percentage of 3rd, 4th and 5th rate people being chosen for jobs over 1st rate people because of the former's color, genitalia, country of origin or mental disease. The new motto is "for God's sake, don't hire a smart white heterosexual male, especially when his is the best option." Ex Microsoft manager spills the beans
