That sums it up nicely. And I read something similar to this long ago:
This Church of Global Warming is frightening in both its power and its stupidity.

It is simply a fact, that much of what we discuss has been covered before. I have always been one who disliked repeating points which I, or others, have made on any particular subject. I find such repetition boring and like moving on to new ideas with which to build a discussion. But with age I sadly noted that most people do not absorb much of what is said to them, much less the first time it is said. To get through to people one must repeat and repeat and repeat ad nauseam any given fact or idea if one wishes it to sink in. Whether or not most people understand a given message is another question. And that does not touch on whether or not they remember it. Hint: They don't if it contains information more sophisticated than something an eighth grader can comprehend. Therefore, I have started to note pieces with essentially the same message and I will repeat, repeat and repeat things which I believe are important. Hopefully, bits of information from these pieces with stay with those who hear or read them. Advertisers, and the left, use this method to propagandize people, and they have been very successful. We must use it to educate. Sometimes a hammer is, in fact, an educational tool.

That's true, but we at least do make a good circular firing squad. It reminds me about what someone (Twain?) said about the Henry David Thoreau homily to "simplify, simplify." It goes something like "That's one to many "simplify's." Or something like that. Extra credit if you can find who said that. I couldn't. But I think Twain did say, "I didn't have time to write a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead." I always like that one and know exactly what he means. But, yes, repeating gets old. I like to go on to new things as well. But in terms of swaying the public, then we probably must repeat, repeat with a Churchillian spin on it of “A vocabulary of truth and simplicity will be of service throughout your life.” I also like this one by Aristotle: “It is simplicity that makes the uneducated more effective than the educated when addressing popular audiences.” There were three simple and true things that formed my opinion that "global warming" was a fraud: 1) It had so clearly become a cult of groupthink..."consensus," not fact-based. Even if I couldn't be sure of the facts, I knew the ones I was being given were suspect and likely wrong. 2) The greatest greenhouse gas is water vapor that accounts for something like 90% of the greenhouse effect with cloud coverage playing a very large role as well in terms of conserving heat (and as yet, as far as know, still little understood). 3) The effect of CO2 is not linear and has a saturation point where the returns are severely diminishing. Add to that that as far as we can see it's sunspot activity that tends to spike temperatures. Also add to that that we just don't know all the factors. Add add that even if we were causing the earth to warm a little, we should thank our lucky stars because cold=bad in terms of feeding people. And we are due for another ice age. That the Left could turn CO2 into a poison is amazing. These people are all kooks. I don't just disagree with them. I think they are a form of human pestilence and are the real danger to the planet.

Recycling, like Climate Change, is another tenet of the left's religion. I recommend everyone watch John Stossel's 6 minute video embedded in the link below. Having been directly involved, and on the edges of the recycling industry for over 45 years, I have a little more knowledge as regards what is possible and what is not possible. For recycling to be successful, one needs to have "product" segregation, e.g. lead scrap must be separated from aluminium scrap, or steel scrap must separated from copper scrap. If the product made from scrap, like copper ingot or cathode, is valuable enough, someone will separate the cheaper steel from the copper scrap and sell them separately. Otherwise, industrial consumers are not interested.
To give one an idea of how far this segregation goes, my 2007 ISRI (Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc.) circular breaks down "red metals" scrap, i.e. metals with copper as a primary constituent, into 45 different grades.
In the early 1980s, Singapore seriously looked at the possibility of separating metal waste, such as tin cans, from the rest of the garbage and selling the metal waste to smelters. It didn't work as the quality of material was poor. The steel was thin, coated with tin or some other material which would only complicate smelting. Finally, it was covered with not metallic material, smelly and not very pleasant to handle. I visited the Singapore facility which handled this material and had to advise them that what they wanted to do was not worth while. Recycling plastic is a boondoggle

The bluntness of that article, and the Stossel video, sounds just like us. Stossel called it a religion. Check. Not based in reality but is only virtue-signalling. Check. I'm glad this stuff is getting out there to some degree.
I don't expect anyone to say "idiot women," because that's too blunt for the masses...and there are plenty of idiot men as well. But I do think the idiot women are driving this irrational stuff....and the hysteria/virtue-signalling is amplified and fed back to them by companies making a lot of money off of liberal foolishness.
