If you had a "Noah's Ark-like" Thanksgiving, I guess we had a "Rub-a-dub-dub" like Thanksgiving as there were only three of us.
Mrs. Flu changed the menu a bit because she did not have time to pick up a couple of items. So we had turkey breast (maybe the best turkey dinner I ever had) roast vegetables including broccoli, squash, zucchini, onions, red and yellow bell peppers and mushrooms, as well as roast potatoes. To finish in all, we had apple pie an hour or so later. A very delicious meal with only a small amount of leftovers, the balance apple pie being the biggest.

That sounds like a great meal. The hostess said that last year she bought a couple rotisserie chickens at Costco and it was great. But this year she went whole-hog on a turkey. But it seems to me getting some turkey breast would be great as well.
One of her kids ate so much pumpkin pie (no exaggeration) that he was pretty much immobile for the rest of the night. But if there's a time to spurge, it's during Thanksgiving.
