According to Wikipedia, the Choctaw were the first of the 5 civilized tribes forced to leave their land and move to Oklahoma. I believe the Cherokee were the largest tribe which was displaced. I know about the Trail of Tears as there is supposedly some Creek in my blood from my mother's side. I suspect there is more Indian on my father's as he was born in Oklahoma and several of my uncles and aunts looked like they were half or 3/4 Indian.

Yep, that's a clear case of extortion and must be punished severely. Unfortunately, Louisville is dominated by Demagogues, who may be reluctant to act. But Kentucky's attorney general is a black Republican who would be much more willing and presumably has the legal authority to do so.
This is an example of why I refer to them as Black Shakedowns Matter. And if the Curious Journal, a reliable supporter of the Demagogues, is coming out against them, it's a good sign.

Another great article by Jason Whitlock. The Three Stooges of SportsWhitlock is a very insightful cultural critic and we need more like him. I also find the comments after the article encouraging. Strangely, a so-called sport's website is one of the few places one sees intelligent comments after various articles.

I read about this video elsewhere. The article mentioned that one symptom of fentanyl (the autopsy showed Floyd with an overdose of fentanyl) is making breathing difficult. Floyd may well not have been lying, but disoriented. And since fentanyl, I believe, is supplied as a painkiller, Floyd becoming addicted to it may be no worse morally than Rush Limbaugh become addicted to Oxycontin way back when. Limbaugh eventually weaned himself off it in rehab, but Floyd couldn't afford that.
In other words, the situation remains tragic. But it's also true that at least 2 of the cops will probably get off and that even second-degree (deliberate but not premeditated) murder is probably an excessive charge even for Chauvin (much less first-degree murder, which the activists want him charged with).
And when those verdicts come in (if the juries deliver proper verdicts), what does anyone think will happen in and to New Mogadishu and other leftist dystopias? (Including Seattle. I hope it doesn't reach your neck of the woods, Brad.)

Not only has the viewership of the NBA and MLB dropped, it is now clear that a good number of sports programs aired on ESPN and other channels have tanked as well. Schadenfreude doesn't begin to express my joy at this. Down the tubes

I suspect that article is actually a bit optimistic about ESPN. The NBA is playing, and its audience is falling because people want to watch basketball, not another show about politics. I'm not sure it even matters much that the politics is so leftist and anti-American (and pro-Chinese and anti-Israeli), though that probably doesn't help.
MLB hasn't been so bad, but there was a good bit on opening day, and that has hurt them. If they remain about sports rather than politics, they'll probably eventually recover. But with occasional outbreaks of Wuhan fever playing hob with the schedule, will they have time to do so? I do at least watch Astros and Yankees games, though without the degree of emotional involvement that I had a year ago.
For what it's worth, I long ago noticed that my feelings about the teams I root for was very similar to my reaction to the political team I root for. Come to think of it, that may still be true.

A couple things I am hoping for: World peace, a cure for major diseases, and the sport leagues folding like a cheap tent.
It’s supposedly a faux pas to be “judgmental.” But anyone spending any time watching professional sports is a traitor to their country and an idiot. How did that rate on the Namby-Pamby Meter, Mr. Flu?

More good news regarding the demise of the sport's industry in the USA.
Makes me think of "Hannibal Rising," but whereas Lector devoured others, ESPN is devouring itself.

Prices of NYC real estate are dropping like a stone.
I have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it couldn't happen to nicer people. On the other hand, these zombies bring their infection with them when they move to places like Texas. They have already had a very negative effect here. They should go elsewhere i.e. to places which already have the leftist disease in its tertiary phase. California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Vermont and Oregon would be good places to start. North Korea, Red China, Germany, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Laos would be better.

Besides Mr. Flu’s wise words of “Stay the hell out of my backyard,” there are a couple interesting comments to that article: Since day one (maybe day two), I wondered when there would be an exodus from Seattle. Obviously people must see the writing on the wall. The value of your house is going to plummet without police protection and with rioters running amok. As distasteful as c-words such as Lawrence are, this c-word may have made right move: cut your losses. No news there. But it reaffirms the point that liberals (and their useful idiots who might not be multi-millionaires) will spout this gibberish knowing that they are walled off from it in one way or another (or think they are). But the walls aren’t all made of money. I think the most pervasive wall is dreamy notions of “civility,” “tolerance,” “diversity,” and “equality.” For every c-word Lawrence there are a thousand otherwise respectable and hard-working white males making a decent (if not multi-million) living who wall themselves off from criticism (or hope to) by supporting (if only via inaction and lip service) the hard-left agenda with their vapid lip service and passivity. Apparently a few photos are out there. There’s a lesson there. Let me think about what it is. A public service? Remember, it’s not good to slut-shame so we must look upon this positively. A second look is okay too.

The head of the Seattle police union was on Fox and Friends today, and mentioned that they started a petition opposing the movement to defund the police. It got 150,000 names within its first week, though of course they wouldn't all be legitimate Seattle voters. I wonder how many will remember come November, much less next year when they have city elections.

I had a quick look at that page and can honestly say I was shocked.
This only goes to confirm the reasons actors have been held in such low regard until quite recently. They were correctly seen as whores and cut-purses. Today, they seem to have some irrational need for attention, and it makes no difference how the attract it.
Amazingly, these lowlives think they are qualified to give council to the rest of us on subjects as diverse morals and politics.

Define "quick look". Oh, and watch your language. What? You said "cut-purses"? The "n" was silent? Oh then, never mind.
I do think she is qualified to give counsel on one subject: looking hot and slutty at the same time, veering a little close to the latter.

Tulane was going to have a panel discussing the KKK and white supremacy, with an author who wrote a book on the subject. So the Wokeist students came out against it on the usual ridiculous grounds. They knew the author and panel were anti-Klan, but no matter. He's white, and so is the professor who organized the panel, and that's enough. And of course the weaklings in Tulane management gave in. As with most colleges, the staff and the students are all inmates, and it's not always clear which set of inmates run the asylum. The link is:

A heartbeat. She certainly looked slutty in the upper photo. In the later photos, she looked like what she was displaying.
How would you like to have a daughter like that?
