Many of the idiots who voted for the politicians who are now destroying major cities and states, are now moving to more conservative areas of the country. Of course, a large number of the politicians of these conservative states are telling everyone how great it is to have these dingbat refugees as new state residents. My great fear is that the bums who, through their votes, brought about the downfall of places such as NYC, Boston, Baltimore, Seattle, Portland, et.al. will settle into the long-term destruction of their new home states. LocustsThese people are like the aliens in the movie "Independence Day," who having ruined their own home, move from planet to planet destroying worlds as they prance across the universe.

The movie Starship Troopers comes to mind as well. What a horrible movie, except for the shower scene. But the aliens were basically bugs. That was one of the most self-consciously stupid scenes ever filmed. But that's the goal of the "equality" crowd. Just get in the shower with the girls (and vice versa) and it's as natural as tying your shoes. DO NOT WATCH STARSHIP TROOPERS — even for the shower scene. It will rot your brain. If you wanted one movie to show how inane yutes had become (well, there are the Marvel movies), this is it. Still, some nice T&A here and there.

Here is another example of how the pop culture has been pushing perverts, misfits and the mentally ill on the rest of society as "new cultural norms."
Of course, the true scumbags behind this are the music and movie companies which have to come up with ever more bizarre ideas to keep the public sated on unhealthy rubbish.

I believe I have seen part of a battle scene in "Starship Troopers." I can't say that I was impressed. Of course, I checked the shower scene you linked to and I am left equally unimpressed. (It wasn't worth watching even for 30 seconds.) Clearly, I have been fortunate in missing this movie.

As a fan of the original book, I naturally did see the movie to see how different (and inferior) it was. It wasn't as bad as I anticipated, but definitely not as good as it should have been.

Yes, I've heard that the book is better. The problem I have is that this movie would have been fantastic if I was 12 years old. It's clearly made for an almost child-like mindset: immature, easily amused, and not knowing any better.
But now I know better. Most don't so they watch Marvel movies and announce to the world that they are the hoi polloi with a big helping of "Oy!"

Underlying Starship Troopers is a message that even the poorly made movie couldn't cover. That decent society requires men and women to sign a blank check for their lives that regular people do not. I fully appreciate when people thank me for my time in the military, however, at the back of my mind is the question where were you when the lead was flying? Where were you when a sociopath was slitting the throats of young girls to support a communist intelligence operation. Where were you when . . .
The idea that only those who defend freedom should have a vote in how that society is run has merit. Freedom must be defended by men and women who are willing to pay a price, the most expensive, and that is a message that RAH consistently writes, from Starship Troopers to Time Enough for Love he is always on the side of decent, polite, and armed society. A far cry from the metro-sexual apology culture we are experiencing.
Remember also that Starship Troopers was written for a adolescent audience, as were many of RAH early books when he was just perfecting his style. The later novels carry the same themes but on a more adult level.

Heinlein discussed the book extensively in Expanded Universe, though not always accurately. It was originally written to be one of his yearly Scribner's juveniles, but they found it too controversial (I assume that was the problem) and passed on it. Annoyed, Heinlein discontinued working with them, though he did write one further juvenile (Podkayne of Mars), for which he had to change the ending drastically.
Starship Troopers won a Hugo (awards voted by fans) for Best Novel, the second won by Heinlein out of four total he won over the span of a decade. In his comments on it, he expressed amazement that it won. Critics tend to consider his relatively libertarian society fascist, mainly because of the ambiguous role of the military. (Only veterans can vote, and every indication is that these are all military veterans, though few of them had full combat training much less experience. But otherwise the society is hardly militarized.) Most of this, basically, involves believing that such a society would be militaristic and fascistic, and never mind that Heinlein portrays it otherwise.
Given that most veterans would be enlisted men rather than officers, I suspect that many of the critics were unaware of Bill Mauldin's point in Up Front that "the easiest way to become a pacifist is to join the infantry." Of course, most of them wouldn't be infantry either. As the officer training academy demonstrates, Heinlein used the Marines as his model.

Heinlein is not a goofball but they sure ran that movie through the goofball filter. I imagine the book is at least fair-to-good.
At the very least, only those who own property should vote. And include those who are serving, or have served, in the military.

Recall that in Ancient Greece, all male citizens took up arms for the polis. Socrates fought in several battles.
In democratic societies, citizenship had responsibilities as well as advantages. Our leftists and plutocratic masters have almost completely destroyed the notion that citizens owe something to their countries. In this way, the leftists and plutocrats weaken ties between citizens.

Not just citizens. Resident aliens were also expected to fight against foreign invasion, at least in Athens.
The movie version of Starship Troopers was directed by one of those who considered the book fascist. That was the main flaw in it.

True, but obtaining resident status as an alien was not that easy. The Greek city states valued their citizenship.

That makes sense. These goofballs who think their own farts don't stink (the same ones breast-fed on rewriting history) can't be encumbered by REALITY. They must "make everything their own." What a bunch of babies and wimps. The culmination of this are the two horrid Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr. Horrible stuff.
In the art world, LEARN FROM THE MASTERS FIRST, then feel free to improvise. But these f-tards simply write their ignorant delusion-fed graffiti splattered on top of the world. The sad thing is, a lot of these asses make a lot of money doing so. Too many paying rubes don't know any better. Shit is Shinola to them.

These videos show what paper tigers Antifa and BLM are. Another clear indication that the rioting and looting which has been taking place has been promoted and allowed by Democratic Bolshevik mayors and governors. They disappear with the slightest gust of wind

I read about this elsewhere, and 3 rioters were arrested. I just hope that the worthless Portland DA actually tries them for their crimes and sends them off to prison. But I won't hold my breath waiting for it.

It's too bad such a good candidate can't run in a more winnable constituency. Imagine her running statewide in anything resembling a swing state with a large urban area with a lot of blacks, such as Pennsylvania or Michigan. Even in Maryland she might have a chance statewide. But winning Baltimore and the 7th CD may well be impossible for a Republican.
But it's always nice to see someone try. If nothing else, maybe she can force the Demagogues to spend a lot of extra money in that district. And perhaps she can build up name recognition for a gubernatorial run in 2022, when Hogan's term ends. She'd be a considerable improvement.

I think that may have happened to Rodney King. I certainly recall there was some such notable case involving a suspect not affected by Tasers.
