The NBA is folding. Silver's weasel-word cop-out is disgusting and typical of the dishonesty which permeates the upper echelons of American sports and business.
I don't use such language often, but I think this warrants it. Fuck 'em. It's too late you assholes. Your hate for America is manifest and there is no hiding it now or in the future. Not only are you traitors, you are stupid. Let us hope the NBA goes bankrupt and reconstitutes itself in China. These idiots will then see exactly what the Chinese think of blacks and where the racists actually live.

I bought the album when it first came out. I still have it boxed up somewhere. As I recall, it was overall a very good album. When I bought it, I didn't realize she had been in the music business for many years before she cut the album.

I got it in the 80s when a friend recommended it as her best work. I had become interested, oddly enough, when I read an article on relief pitchers which alluded to the song and singer as a situation in which it was too late for the reliever to save the situation. I had heard and liked the song, but as usual didn't know who the singer was (and maybe not even the title). Radio announcers often leave such details out.
I'm not aware that anyone else ever did the song.

As best I can tell from reading about them, the NFL isn't as bad as the NBA, so it's fair that they haven't collapsed as badly. MLB isn't as bad as either, so we'll see how badly they're hurt. I certainly haven't watched to the degree I previously would have, though I'll probably watch tonight instead of watching the debate.

I just listened to "Carol King's Tapestry" for the first time in several decades. I can confirm it is an excellent album. Not one bad song on it, and several great ones.

It's part of my regular sequence -- with her later song "Been to Canaan" along with it. She wrote (or more often co-wrote) many of her songs. If I remember correctly, "You've Got a Friend" is the one James Taylor sang for the French in the aftermath of one of the major terrorist attacks in Paris.

They’re blaming it on the Wuhan virus rather than the Communist virus. But those who aren’t complete dumb-asses understand what is going on. This isn’t “transitioning to a new business model” or anything like that. Apple did great during the hysteria. Anything that would serve people (such as television programming) who are stuck indoors at home because of these unwarranted and illegal lockdowns had every reason to do better, not worse.

This is great news. I know that the DOJ is suing Princeton for racial discrimination, but going after large corporations is just as important. Another reason to vote for Trump. Enough already with the racial quotas |
