How our elites have sold out Americans

I suppose for us, and those who think as we do it is painfully obvious that government, at it's best, is a beast best kept chained, but if unleashed it is the handiwork of every evil that has ever plagued humanity. We can, and do, lambaste the stupidity, chauvinism, and condescension of government on a daily basis. And, like the prophets of scripture are ignored by people who can't tie their shoes without government permission. 

As a new year approaches, 5782. Let us consider our lives and the impact we have on our friends, family and those around us.

As for our enemies, let the impact be against my shoulder from a belt fed weapon.

Maybe that comet that marks the K-T boundary wasn’t so random.

This gives a whole new meaning to the term, "one-on-one individual instruction." 

I have not thought of that song for 50 years. While it was ok when it first came out, they played it so often that I had a belly full of it. I just about hated it. It's not so bad hearing it again after a rest of over 50 years. 

A very good question, that the prudes on the left do not want to answer.

Individual freedom it's a bitch. Why not allow 12 years olds to carry firearms, engage in wars, drink, smoke, vote, marry have children, sign contracts and support themselves? Could it be that even the deluded left sees nothing but chaos in such indiscriminate freedom?

I thought about doing an updated parody. But then it occurred to me that I've heard enough of that song too. But then, sometimes one cannot help oneself.

I was watching a fix-it video on YouTube yesterday (This Does Not Compute). He was taking a compact flash card and using it to replace an old mechanical drive in an old laptop. There were two settings on the card: Master/Slave and Slave/Master. I was picturing all the black people watching this who were suddenly "triggered" into fits of terror.

I won't argue with what David has to say.

A primary factor in this seems to be The Cult of Victimhood. Everyone has a grievance. Someone else out there is keeping one from a personal Utopia. It’s not my fault. It’s your fault.

This has gotten ingrained. My brother came to me yesterday about a message he got from an offer on a board game he had listed on eBay. I don’t have the exact text but the guy said something like “Will you take $50 instead of $60 and give me free shipping? You see, we’ve fallen on hard times lately. My wife has cancer and we just don’t have the means that we used to.”

The point was, it read not like a spontaneous message but like a commercial. It was much too pat. That’s why my brother wanted a second opinion. He wasn’t sure. I told him that I could be wrong but that it sounded like a guy trying to chisel a few bucks off.

We both agreed that if, say, we knew his wife was suffering from cancer and, say, this was a board game they used to play together and it was a way for them to spend time with each other while doing chemo, he’d have given the guy the damn game, shipping included.

But I told him something like, “If this guy is really tight for money, what the hell is he doing bidding on an item on eBay for $50.00 when he could walk into Goodwill tomorrow and pick up something similar for $5.00?”

Eventually my brother told him “Thanks but no thanks” and said he was going to block this buyer from his listings.
