The article which I have linked to lays out something I have never heard before. Yes, I knew a fair amount about McKinsey, but I had no idea that it was so involved in the Oxycontin crime.
The article mentions all the young college graduates who go to work for McKinsey right out of college. This is exactly why I told people the use of such "consulting" firms is nonsense. Let the bright young things get some actual experience in some area of business and then come back to consult.

A very interesting piece on Oxycontin and the people who produced and promoted it. The American Enterprise Institute was a running dog for Purdue Pharma. I have never been an admirer of that particular institution and it is somehow appropriate that Jonah Goldberg went to work for it. Lies, more lies and the pharmacy industry

This is what those Karens, in the teaching "profession," have wrought over the years. To these hags, little boys must have ADHD because they are, well, little boys. You can bet that most of the 41 million on this drug started when they were young. Already 20 years ago, I had arguments with my son's teachers on this subject. They "suggested" he was autistic, we said he wasn't and the school district's psychologist tested him and agreed with us. They "suggested" he had ADHD and needed drugs. We asked if they were doctors who could diagnose disease and prescribe drugs? They weren't. We tried to explain that there were no studies on children, much less long-term studies on children, of the effects these drugs had on people. We told them to listen very carefully to what we had to say, to wit, "Kung Jr. will not be taking any of these drugs or others like them as long as Kung Sr. is alive so it would be best for the Karens to stop thinking about it and get on with teaching Kung Jr." They finally got the message. 41 million victims of Big Pharma and the Karens

No comment. You already know what I’m thinking.

Another article from the same site notes: Note that I didn't see any bullet-point in that first article for arguable the most important factor: 11. Disempower female hysteria. That is, take a step back from the "safetyism" culture. That's the culture whereby these useless vaccines are propagated via various fear campaigns. And I totally agree with cutting back on allowing advertising for these drug companies. That stuff just feeds into hysteria. But I suppose the #1 cause of vaccine/drug hysteria is the mainstream media. And I'm not sure we can do much about that, although many people think Elon Musk should buy NBC.
