I was looking through Roku TV today and started browsing the Live TV channels. Happily, I came upon a new channel (for me) which is the Filmrise Mysteries Channel. This channel appears to dedicate itself, exclusively, to British mystery series. At the moment it is broadcasting Kavanagh QC starring John Thaw of Inspector Morse fame. I will continue to check out the bill of fare and let you know what I think. Filmrise Mysteries Channel is broadcast on channel 350.

Today appears to be a Midsomer Murders fest on Filmrise Mysteries Channel. I just noticed a couple of older episodes have been on.
I like this channel more and more and not just because of the mystery movies. The channel two clicks below it is Goldwyn's Classics. Last night they broadcast "Raffles" and "Enchantment" both with David Niven and both which I had never seen. I was especially intrigued with "Raffles" as I came upon this character several years ago when downloading free Kindle books. Raffles is known as "The Amateur Cracksman" for his daring escapades during his various thefts of jewelry. He is something like Cary Grant's character in "It Takes a Thief."
The Raffles character is an invention of Arthur Conan Doyle's brother-in-law.

It took me a while to figure out what you were talking about.
I did download the Filmrise Mysteries Channel and that looks like it has some watchable stuff on it.
But I hadn’t before run into what is presumably a newer feature of Roku, and that is the “Live TV” channels. Apparently these are best accessed (or only accessed) through the Roku Channel.
The way it worked for me, I selected one of the “Live TV” channels (Bob Ross) listed in the Roku Channel and once that was loaded, I gained access to the listings of the other live channels (by clicking the left arrow on my remote).
And obviously you can find Midsomer Murders as a “Live TV” channel...or you can just get it on-demand for free via the Filmrise Mysteries Channel.
Not sure if I’ve ever seen Raffles with Niven and Melanie H. But I have tried to watch Kavanagh QC and just couldn’t warm to it. I think the earlier John Thaw in The Sweeney is a decent enough cop show, although somewhat one-dimensional.
Both Midsomer Murders and Kavanagh QC are on Britbox as well.

Sorry, I don't watch that much TV and even less Roku. I only came upon it by chance. I have not used Roku much, but I heard that they broadcast Newsmax so I had to actively search for it. It took me a while to find the Live TV line/list (I don't know what one would call it), but now that I have I sometimes watch the news on Roku.
While watching some news program, the commercials came on and mentioned Filmrise Mysteries Channel on Roku Channel 350. I would have otherwise never have known about this.
