Ha. That's great. I had no idea that the Rangers didn't flatter and cave to the homosexual lobby. And congrats on the victory.

Another announcement by A.G. Paxton that shows he is the right type of Republican. Instead of meekly letting the left get away with lawlessness in their attempts to destroy their enemies, Paxton understands that one must fight fiercely on many fronts and keep the pressure up constantly. Without Texas this country is sunk. Frankly, I would like to see Paxton as the A.G. of the USA. If not that then the V.P. If not that then the governor of Texas. Suck on this David Brooks and Media Matters.

Between this suit and the Texas A.G.'s investigation, we can hope that Media Matters and David Brooks are bankrupted and then jailed. Musk sues Media Matters

More of why our sociopathic overlords, and their scumbag lackeys, aka State Representatives, did their best to get rid of A.G. Paxton. Another sign of him being the most effective State A.G. in America. Pfizer Lied

Once again, Texas leads the way. As readers know, I am not a huge Abbott fan, but he had grown a spine and is performing his duties as governor of Texas. He is effectively accusing the Biden Administration of "High crimes and misdemeanors" as well as telling the Supreme Court you are wrong. Texas will protect its bordersAs I previously mentioned, this is becoming a major constitutional issue. Texas is protecting itself and looking to take back some of its sovereign power. The rest of the states will gain from our fight. Don't Mess With Texas!

Scarce had we moved a step when General Lee, in front of the whole command, raised himself in his stirrups, uncovered his grey hairs, and with an earnest, yet anxious voice, exclaimed above the din and confusion of the hour, “Texans always move them!”
Never before in my lifetime or since, did I ever witness such a scene as was enacted when Lee pronounced these words, with the appealing look that he gave. A yell rent the air that must have been heard for miles around, and but few eyes in that old brigade of veterans and heroes of many a bloody field was undimmed by honest, heart-felt tears.
Leonard Gee, a courier to General Gregg, and riding by my side, with tears coursing down his cheeks and yells issuing from his throat exclaimed, “I would charge hell itself for that old man.” - Private Robert Campell, 5th Texas Infantry

If Texas can stay strong, they can indeed show the way for other states.

Remember Ben Franklin's words, "if we do not hang together, we will surely hang secretly" Every republ;ican state should be prepared to send troops to Texas. Biden is trying to starta civil war. Next he will call for "volunteers" to put down the Texas "insurrection"

Apparently, something like 26 governors of Republican states have come out in support of Abbott. Now, all should send National Guard troops to Texas.

Trump calls for Republican governors to send some of their National Guard troops to Texas in support of the Lone Star State.
And Charlie Kirk makes a very astute observation about the Supreme Court ruling.
As is normal for Roberts, he is trying to walk a fine political line, avoiding an actual legal decision. If he wanted to see how the rest of the states would react, he is being instructed in Federalism at work.

This just goes to the theory that Obama and not Biden is running things. Biden, left to his own devises, would never challenge openly a sitting governor. This has Obama's fingerprints all over it. We are looking at the possibility of real civil war with the coasts allied against the middle.

You Southerners are so quick to reach for the secession solution. I ran across an article the other day that is worth a read, although it's nothing new: ‘Europeans Will Succumb to Islam,’ Says Former Intelligence ChiefBasically, the white races are intentionally trying to be eradicated or diluted by the ruling class. There is no other explanation (certainly not "compassion") for what is going on in regards to flooding Europe (or America) with aliens. Ibrahim notes: The critical point he makes, in so many words, is that the voters are lost in La La Land, living for today, and have zero concerns for tomorrow. You could (he didn't) add to that the moral corruption by the Left and feminism that has led to spinelessness in the electorate. My friend, although a secession of the States (or, at the very least, the assertion of their Constitutional rights) is in order at the moment, don't count on enough people having your back. Amongst us is a race of people who have been turned into Consumerists and who have long been trained that any push-back to the ruling class is considered some flavor of SIXHIRB (Sexist, Intolerant, Xenophobic, Homophobic, Islamophobic, Racist, Bigoted). This denuded race is not going to care to risk anything for something more strategic, moral, and honorable. But maybe they make them different in Texas and Arkansas. But are there enough left? And after Trump is done blustering in (even if he wins), will he or anyone stop the illegal immigration as well as send back those who are already here illegally? I can guarantee you that Trump will be no more effective in this regard than Biden. So it's up to the governors. It's up to the States asserting there rights...and this time in a cause uncorrupted by weak pleas of "states' rights" just so that they could continue slavery. This is about stopping an invasion and an out-of-control Federal government. And if the Feds open fire, the National Guards need to respond in kind.

Artler didn't mention secession. He mentioned civil war, which would be worse/bloodier than secession.
If one recalls, I have not been a proponent of secession as I am sure it would not work, even if we were to pull it off for a while. The left would never accept this over the long term and to believe that two sides could live at peace with each other is, in my opinion, delusional. Conservatives want to be left alone, but not progressives. After some period of time, the left would do everything it could to retake whatever states happened to disconnect from the Union. They would likely work with China to do this.

Secession is the same thing in this context. It would be a State or States against the Federal government. Now, one could say this is just an assertion of rights. And that's true. One could still stay in the Union.
But given all that the Federal government now takes on as their "right," no less than some type of forced secession is likely to solve the problem. The courts are unlikely to help. This is us-against-them time. I'm taking the long view. the Federal government is now to a large extent an unconstitutional body. I view that the pact between the states and the Union has already been abrogated and that a type of state-of-war already exists.
Give it any word you want. But I think that in order for the states to protect themselves from the Federal government, it will be a de facto secession. This is Texas challenging the authority of the Federal government. The Left and the Deep State will certainly consider it secession. And at least regarding legal authority, it would be. We "secede" from the Biden administration's supposed god-given right to flood the States with illegal aliens. And then move on to a thousand different Federal agencies who illegally intrude into the matters belonging to the States. The EPA is one such monster. The FBI is obviously becoming another.
We don't know if we're seeing the tip of the iceberg or if this is just a passing storm. The problem remains that most voters don't have a care about tomorrow. But like I said, maybe they still make them different in Texas. We'll see.

An interesting piece which lays out the way Texas can handle the Federal Government, with examples of how it has been done before.

You Southerners are so quick to reach for the secession solution. If I thought, even for a minute, that the leftists on the coasts would back down over a secession threat I would advocat it as a temporary solution. The cunrumdum, as I see it, is leftists hate America and are willing to do anything to humiliate Americans. Except allow those who are not leftist, the productive majority, to leave and be left alone. Ayn Rand, in Atlas Shrugged, noted that the non-productive elite intuitively understand that in order to maintain their lifestyle they must appeal to the patriotism of the American people. They know that they have trouble living with us but also know they can't live without us. Thus, there is a natural compulsion to force our adherence to their view of the Constitution. Joe Biden doesn't have the smarts to create and follow through with the leftist plot to destroy America, he is at best, a sock puppet for the left. The current border crisis, as it continues over the last three years, and at spots before. Is entirly the creation of the left. I see the hand of the Obamas, but also Valerie Jarret behind pulling Biden's strings. I doubt we can progress to anything as peaceful as mere secession. Letisists are going to insist on civil war to determine what kind of government we have. The once proud 50 United States is going to reduce to maybe 30 states. Some states are going to split, as West Virginia did. Others may choose to give up and become part of another state. A greater state of Texas is possible, with Texas absorbing parts of eastern NM and southern OK and western LA. This could spiral into open warfare much more quickly then we imagine. We have been talking about the tension building for several years. I don't like it, I don't want my grandchildre to live through it and I sincerely hope it doesn't happen, but theory is pushing its way into reality.
