This writer understands what has happened and why it happened. By chance, I was just talking to a friend in Switzerland and he could not understand why our elites, including business elites, have dropped the ball so badly. "Surely," he inquired, "they understand the ramifications of what Biden is letting happen, that in the long run it will hurt their business?" I told him that many, perhaps most of our elites are good with books and numbers, but have no idea how life actually works. They see people as numbers and pieces to moved be on boards. They are living in reality. As a result, our leaders too often have no fucking idea what they are doing. This includes our business leaders, whose only focus in on money this quarter. Of course, above these fools are the evil demons who are intentionally trying to bring down the USA. Our military ain't what it used to be. The left is now moving to take over complete control of the military with the KFF vaccine mandate. Those who can, will leave the armed forces. This will leave mostly woke fools with guns.

Actually, the French only signed an alliance with the USA in the first or second quarter of 1778. By this time, the Americans had been, on their own, fighting the British for about three years. During this time, there were huge ups-and-downs as regards the numbers of American fighting men. Much of this was due to the incompetence of the Continental Army.
In my opinion, the only thing that kept American military resistance from falling apart was George Washington. As far as I know, he is a unique personality in history. Certainly Afghanistan has no such person.

Wasn't it Patrick Henry who said, "Give me diversity or give me death"?

More proof that the Marines are becoming a farce along with the rest of the US Military. A tidy farewell It appears General Sullivan is more interested in projecting this image of the Marines Than this one

I think Artler will enjoy this video of Lt. Col. Scheller who called out the senior commanders for what happened in Afghanistan. He was relieved of command in less than five hours of his video being shown on "War Room Pandemic." In this video, he declares that he is resigning his commission in the Marine Corps as of now. This man promises to bring about some accountability in the system. He is making not-too-veiled threats to expose things. I hope the Marines and government don't go after him. Lt. Col. Scheller I always tell my overseas friends that it is much tougher to become a high-ranking officer in the Marine Corps than the Army. I would equate a Lt. Col. in the Marine Corps with, at least, a full-bird Colonel in any other branch of the service. This man attained the rank in less than 17 years. Clearly, he was considered very-high-value personnel in the Marines. Full Colonel was certainly on the horizon and possibly flag rank. The man has morals and guts. I hope he disrupts the corrupt cesspool that has become our Marine Corps and Military in general.

I’m sure this fellow is an excellent Marine. But he needs a media consultant. I didn’t get much out of that video other than a sort of whiny teenager vibe. He didn’t make his case in this video and his presentation was poor. If you’re fighting the powers that be, you’ve got to do better than this.

I think just the opposite is the case. At the moment, I believe his message is mainly aimed at fellow Marines and younger people in general. I don't think some slick presentation would work just yet, particularly if that slick presentation would make him look to be something he is not, thus a phony. That would be fatal at this point. He's not selling soap or an iPhone. After he is officially separated from the Corps, he could take advantage of media and spread his message to others. I am curious what, if anything, he will do in the next few weeks.

A guy sitting on the couch rambling on about how he doesn't want a GoFundMe page isn't working for me. If he's reaching the younger people, that could be because he sounds like the typical noise you find on Facebook.
I want to know what the issue is, plainly stated. He didn't do that.

Did you see his first video? Lt. Col. Scheller He is laying out a trail as to what he is doing and why he is doing it. As I said, his main audience is military members.

I want to know what the issue is, plainly stated. He didn't do that. In this case I have to agree with Kung. His message short as it was is bound to hit home with Marines and other servicemen who have been in combat. We hold no man left behind as the highest standard of professional conduct. The LC is telling us leave me behind to cover your back. He is fully aware that the system we served for all these years is determined to destroy him and his family. A cost few are willing to bare at any rank. He may actually be reduced in rank before he separates and may leave as a major not an LC. Too few officers are willing to challenge the system as he has. Make note LC/Col is the step to flag rank, but it is also the last place where senior officers know most, if not all, of the men in their unit. His video was never intended to be seen by any but the men he is commanding. Once he is actually discharged a lot of what he could say will still be rationed by security considerations. He will be compelled to sign documents threatening him with severe penalties if he reveals TS information, and in today's world just about everything is TS. So don't expect much when he is discharged at least for 25 years or more.

No. I was commenting on his "on the couch with the iPhone set in portrait instead of landscape mode" video. He comes across as muddled and unfocused.

That video (which I presume is the second of two) looked like an entry into a saga, not a carefully articulated critique of what may be wrong in the Marine Corps. As a citizen already sympathetic to his cause, he didn’t strike a chord with me.
Okay, fine. Even then, I don’t come away convinced by the vague exposition on the couch in front of a chess board. Stand up proud or sit behind a desk, for god’s sake — if you want to be taken seriously.

The first video was better. In essence he makes the point, "The rest of us are fired for small fuck-ups. But the higher ups commit a big fuck-up and you hear crickets chirping."

Yes, that was his basic point and it is why I asked if you had seen the first video. That video was more important from a broad point of view. The second video was made from a narrower point of view. The Lt. Col. was clear that it was made in response to a former commander of his who said something like, "If Lt. Col. Scheller were honorable, he would have resigned his commission." Scheller answered this challenge forcefully. He laid out exactly what he was willing to sacrifice in order to be an honorable man. This video was aimed squarely at the challenger and other services members, particularly Marines. It is basically a call to arms. I am convinced the man has a plan. I can tell you that Scheller's videos and his resignation has caused a huge stir in the Armed Forced, particularly the Marines, including those who are no longer serving. I have heard a number of retired service members today telling us how powerful Scheller's message has been. That it has spread throughout the military on social media. How active military have reached out to these people and praised Scheller confirming what he said. These same people have mentioned how many people they know who are still in the service are doing their best to get out in the near future. One ex-Marine Sgt. said he would not allow his twenty-year-old son join today's military. All of those I have listened to basically say that Scheller is a leader and type of man we need leading the military. As if Lt. Col. Scheller's message wasn't enough, today something like 90 retired Flag Officers issued this call for the resignations of the idiots leading this mess. Resign you fools

Let's hope this guy's message resonates. But given who the commander-in-chief is, I don't hold out much hope for reform.
This was the point I was making to you guys a week ago. Why do conservative parents (or any parents) aid and abet their children walking into the present clusterfuck? I understand this Marine Sargeant's point of view. To die for your country, for freedom and the Constitution, sure. But to die so that some asshole general can Tweet about the importance of diversity while these same assholes ruin and lose lives by not being able to carry out even the simplest military strategy, I'm not sure why anyone would sign up for that. The pull-out from Afghanistan does not a recruiting poster make.
