I do not know how much, if any, effect Trump's election had on this ruling, but I suspect that at the very least, it made the court's decision easier.

In truth, that article (the whole situation) reads like The Babylon Bee. But a victory is a victory, I guess.

For the last couple of days, I have been reading that a weather apocalypse is about to hit the West Coast. I would be interested in hearing your observations as this occurs. Is California finally about to drift off into the Pacific? Bomb Cyclone

I suppose if we started noticing a shortage of fresh fruit, then we might start missing California. But other than those kinds, that place it way top fruity for me to worry about where they drift off to. Would we miss them? But people do worry...apparently a lot. You can get a few free articles per month at NRO, so maybe this will be available to you: More Than Half of Young People Experience ‘Eco-anxiety,’ Survey FindsAgain, that is not the Babylon Bee, but it sort of reads that way. We sometimes do get high winds in the early fall. We're known for high winds around Columbus Day, the very day a few decades ago when the Hood Canal Bridge was blown apart. But that kind of "extreme" whether is rare here. If we get a hurricane, that would very surprising, but I suppose anything is possible. That would indeed be windy, but not catastrophically so. Which might also be called "An average day in the Pacific Northwest." We'll see what we get, if anything out of the ordinary. But my eco-anxiety meter is low at the moment. This comment to the article makes more sense:

Have you had to resort to rafts yet?

Just light rain here right now. Nothing out of the usual. No rafts needed yet. And we're in such a hilly area, flooding is generally not an issue, although sometimes basements can get flooded simply because the ground becomes so saturated.

I do know that it is typical for the coast to get some harsh weather. But there is not a breath of wind right now to the east of the Olympics.

Most might not realize it, but the "Weather Report" is one of the most propagandized part of "the news" these days. One friend long ago noted how the reds, which express either extreme heat or extreme rain, have become more pronounced and cover increasingly larger areas, in order to send subconscious messages to the viewer. I agree with him.

My weather app says "Possible light rain in the next hour." But I have noticed on my Apple apps how hysterical they have become. There is often some kind of "extreme" weather warning. And I wonder what the hell am I thinking going outside when it is (wait for it) 80 degrees! I kid you not. My stupid watch now lists stuff like this as a warning.
The propaganda that people have soaked up regarding "climate change" cannot be underestimated. We really are surrounded by a bunch of badly-informed fruit loops.
I'll keep watching the weather. Again, as I said, we do occasionally get storms (although it's doubtful such storms would be recognized as such in Texas...everything, even our "storms," tend to be mild out here...excepting the libtard politics, of course.). But, Jesus, from the look at the graphic at that last link you'd think we're all going to be blown into Kansas.
