I've read several pieces about chimps ripping the faces off their female owners, even killing them I believe. I don't recall reading such things happening to males. Maybe because males don't treat chimps like children. The treat like wild beasts and keep them in cages.

There's definitely some toxic masculinity there. A, err, bunch of it.
People forget how strong chimpanzees are compared to us. Latest studies suggest they are about 1.5 times stronger.
Probably the chimps look at a male human as the alpha-male and so don't tend to challenge them as much. Or they're just not real fans of cat ladies.

This "pope" is a heretic. All religions are the same I lived in Singapore for twelve years, and heard the same thing fairly often. Singapore is a very diverse place. Many ethnicities and religions walk the streets together. In order to keep the peace, people are allowed to practice their religions freely, but are not much allowed to question the government for religious reasons. One sees Christian churches, Buddhist temples, Hindu temples, Sikh temples and Muslim mosques across the island.

Just from a technical standpoint, I'm not sure that Hindus would agree with that. I understand the touchy-feely "offend nobody" aspect of such statements. And in an overall ecumenical sense, they may have some merit. But so does saying, "We believe the only way to god is through Jesus Christ." And then when threatened with murder by the Muslims for saying so, then clearly all religions are not the same.

Kunstler's latest piece. Ignorance is bliss He has come to the same conclusion I have about Komiela's campaign being run like an old Hollywood promotion.

Love this comment from this video:
Very probably a 100% shot of unvarnished truth.

In fact, this trend has been going on since the 1980s, latest. But he is correct in pointing out that from about 2000 onward, things got particularly bad.
I am convinced a major contributing factor to this, and other structural problems in the US economy, was the removal of the Glass-Steagall Act of 1933. Of course, the actions of the Federal Reserve over the last 50 years didn't help either.

Hmm. I had never heard of that. But it's interesting the Boeing is so tit's-up regarding Starliner that there is apparently serious thought about just divesting from it and cutting their losses. But as that earlier video shows, it's a gamble. If they stay at it and meet NASA's requirements, they'll get something like 3 billion. But everything spent now is 100% loss until then. That's really hard for the corporate penny-pinchers stomach, I'm sure. It's absolutely shocking that of all the things to have problems with (and it's by no means the only thing), it's thrusters. They had these figured out a long time ago. There is some deep, deep rot in our scientific/corporate culture. Basically that one guy is saying that he and his crew had the ethics to get the job done right. I think we're seeing clearly the sewage that floats down-river from Progressive culture. No one will admit that. But that's surely what it is.
Elon Musk is, at the moment, running contrary to that kind of culture. So he shows it's still possible to do things in this country.

Removing that act led to the gigantism which has taken hold of the financial system across the West. With G-S gone it was inevitable that every aspect of the financial system would invest in every other aspect of the financial system to the point where the various parts became so intertwined that should one part fail, a huge crash like that of 2008, was inevitable. It doesn't particularly matter what brought on the original failure. In the case of the 2008 crash, it was said to be the crooked derivatives on mortgages which was at the root of things. I think too many people forget Greenspan's horrible policies. In any case, before the revocation of G-S, commercial banks could not have dealt in derivatives and such speculative instruments. Thus the systemic failure which arose would likely have been avoided.
Again, the removal of Glass-Steagall is at the root of the gigantism and speculative nature of the financial system today. Lending/commercial banks bought merchant banks, bought insurance companies, all of which were bought by leviathans such as BlackRock, Vanguard and State Street. The concentration of power is enormous and this power is very much at the root of the corruption we see in the USA today. They are fascist institutions. Lying libertarians call them "free market" institutions. What a joke. Their relationship with government is like host and parasite. Which is which will vary from time to time.
I recommend you look into this as it goes a long way to explain why the West is in such a bad position. It isn't just the leftists who are to blame. Our founding fathers well understood the danger of concentrated power, and not just that of governments.
I haven't be joking or exaggerating when I write out the military-industrial-intelligence-foreign-policy-media-tech-financial complex controls, and is responsible for, a large percentage of what is wrong with this country. All one has to do is look into things. The primary purpose of the US military is not to protect the US, but to make enormous sums of money for special interests, not all of which are actually related to the military.
We spend more on our "defense" than the next 10 countries combined. And what do we get for that? Crappy weapons systems like the F-35. Anti-missile systems which have difficulty shooting down missiles. Littoral combat vessels which don't function properly to begin with and have to be de-comissioned in just a few years. A hypersonic missile program that fails constantly and is at least a decade behind Russia's. Deadly vaccines which are foisted on the populous in order for people like Fauci and his co-conspirators to make billions. Woke indoctrination, sex-change operations for service members and about 70% of service members being obese.
I am not saying corruption didn't exist before the revocation of Glass-Steagall, I am simply saying that the people pulling the levers in the financial system have been concentrated to a relatively few, and their interests are not in producing a good military. Rather they are in generating massive profits which are required for such huge financial entities. If those on top want to rip-off their personal billions, they must generate trillions to do so. Cutting corners is just one of the results of this difficult task. The Boeing fiasco is a small example of the real costs of our present system.

The Demonrats couldn't care less about laws or what the public thinks. This is scandalous. Worse, it is a sign of the demise of the Republic and rise of leftist/corporatist oligarchy. First cabinet meeting with Dr. Jill leading it

The ranks of the Hamas leadership are getting rather thin, and will no doubt continue to shed weight. They needed to go on a "die"t in any case.
