A few years back, I saw this hero on some documentary about WWII. What he did was amazing beyond words. It seems like WWII was a long time ago, but in fact it was less than a lifetime back. We need to remember what we were and try to get back to the heights. Woody Williams last WWII Medal of Honor Recipient

A big "Wow" to all that. It's worth remembering that you'll be hard-pressed to find a man today ready to mount a charge on his HR department regarding the PC garbage they demand, let alone a pillbox guarded by enemy machine guns.

Here is a stark example of what I mean when I say, We always have a choice. Of course, we may not like our choices. There is no guarantee that the choices are simple, easy or palatable, but we decide which path we take. This was a great man. He did what he thought was correct, knowing the risk. When I was younger, studying WWII in some detail, I became convinced that there were many more people than we knew of who made similar choices although they knew they would pay dearly. I am sure there were many Jews, who when faced with the choice between helping the Nazis slaughter others or going to the slaughter themselves, chose the latter and went silently to their deaths.
