First, credit this writer (Brandon Morse) for clarity and succinctness. I know offering advice — even to conservatives who supposedly want to be better than the lowest common denominator — is not popular. But Brandon Morse writes a good one: John Lennon’s Son Denounces Political Correctness, Says Leftist Intellectuals Have Become Pathetic. Read it for the sake of reading it.
But it also handles a good topic. The gist of it:
Sean Lennon tweeted a couple things critical of the Leftist cultural mob out there. We can quibble (and I will in a moment) with why we should care what Lennon thinks. But as one astute commenter said:
The main problem I have with Lennon’s criticism is that he is the author of these excesses. He was amongst those who thought it cool to be part of the identity-club of exalted people who stood for all the right (Left, really) ubversive things. And now that the natural outcome of the ideas he supported is coming to pass, we get these really weak (even dishonest) pleadings of “You’ve lost the true path.”
Well, the “true path” was always a noxious one and was always going to lead there. Let little Sean acknowledge this fact and I’ll grant him respect rather than just think of him as perhaps a useful idiot who might not be as bad as the rest.

The son of the famed Beatles member John Lennon has publicly made it clear that political correctness has destroyed the left he once knew and respected.

The reason this is significant is that the boy is part of the leftist intelligencia and he's openly denouncing them as boring, irrelevant, fascist, and sterile. Of course what he thinks doesn't matter with the folks I go to church with. But he matters a lot to the rich wine and cheese crowd in Manhattan. And he's talking back to them when they try to shut him up. That's a sign of the first beginnings of a crumbling lefty consensus.
Oh...and jus' so you know...that's a GOOD thing. Any cracks in that iron wall are welcome.
