The likely reason that Disneyland security wasn’t all over that as stated on Twitter:

I saw this and another similar story this morning and it simply reinforced the fact that we are regressing as a society. The cretin savages are proliferating at an alarming rate and no longer staying in their caves.

But you have to admit, that was much more entertaining than Pirates of the Caribbean. The thoughts most onlookers had in their head likely couldn’t even be repeated to themselves.
I would be shocked if any of these people actually were working for a living. I’ve engaged in my share of family fights (as a child, with my older brother) but we usually knew enough not to act like savages in public.

"Anaheim police said everyone involved in the fight belongs to the same family and that they were uncooperative when officers responded."
After paying over $100 per day per person does anyone think this was an accident of being tired, overfed and over stimulated. My guess is all of the above.

I’ve never been to Disneyland. I just talked to someone over Independence Day who was recently there and they loved it. Me, I’m pretty sure I’d get over-stimulated in about 15 minutes. Plus, I’m not real good at waiting in line. I would have made a poor Soviet citizen.
Everyone is dumping on this man for slapping around the woman. And that’s fine. We don’t want to condone that. But then she also needs to de-escalate the poison she’s spewing into his ear. That’s not a lesson today’s society acknowledges. Instead, the message is that the only thing that matters is that a man never hit a woman. There is no mention of the verbal torture that women typically can inflict on men. It’s only the man who has to change. It’s only the man who ever is in error. I just don’t buy that.
Don’t think me a racist or anything. But when I see a black man with a white woman, I don’t get hot and bothered about the mixing of the races and all that. Instead, I nod my head in understanding. I have sympathy for both sides, but I can see where if a black man wants a sane relationship, he might have to go outside his race.
I say the same thing for a white man. You might need to (in this case) go outside your entire culture to find a good woman. Feminism and all kinds of stuff has pre-loaded so many women with a lot of hostility and gunk toward men. As I sometimes quip, it may be no surprise why some men change gender. It’s to escape bitchy women. And if you can’t beat them, perhaps you can at least join them.

I was 10 years old the first time I went to Disneyland and over the next 40 years returned about half dozen times. In the 50s and 60s it was relatively inexpensive. You could turn the kids loose and depend that they would not get into trouble. In the 70s I took my best girl and had a great time without kids and it was still not expensive.
Somehow, when the price exceeded $100 per day the fun diminished. That is what Disney world cost me in 2005. I had the impression that we had to have fun for that price. I understand fully the need for a business to maintain margins and the theme parks are very expensive to operate but good grief. Figure 3 days at the park for a family of 4 that's $1,200 then food for 4 at $15 each per meal another $720. Transportation, a variable but at least $200 for gas from just about anywhere and then, $200-$500 a night for hotel. I don't see how it could be less than $3,000 for 3 days.
At that price, YOU WILL HAVE FUN, --------no thanks it's not fun anymore.
I am not excusing the behavior, but there are pressures that will make even the most saintly blow.

We went to Disneyland in 1960 on our way (ultimately) from Monterey, CA to Alexandria, VA. I was 8 at the time, and remember only bits and pieces of it. Certainly I have no idea what it cost, but there was a limit to what my father could afford with 3 children.
In 1992, the worldcon was in Orlando, and I did a lot of sightseeing. This included Seaworld, Kennedy Space Center, and one night at Disneyworld, visiting the Adventurers Club on Pleasure Island. I didn't stay in a Disney hotel, but in an inexpensive one in Orlando. So it wasn't too expensive, particularly paying only my own bills. I wanted to go to Epcot Center, but got up too late to make a full day of it, which I thought would probably be necessary. My feet were probably pleased; I spent most of my time going barefoot after the soft sandals I brought to wear broke down at Seaworld.
The lateness was a consequence first of staying late at the Adventurers Club (I attended every skit they had, which definitely was worth doing), and thus of leaving late for the space center and getting back late from that. But I had a lot of fun, and that's what counted.

I think that’s an astute observation and counts you amongst the self-aware — and while you’ll not likely engage in a brawl in the middle of Disneyland with the wife and kids…because you know going in there are tensions and conflicts to the experience. Yeah, for $100 bucks, I’d feel pressured to get my money’s worth. And maybe watching a family duke it out on vacation put that over the threshold for money’s worth. I’ve done my share of state fairs, etc. And you get to the point where it’s all just the same, that low-level smell comprised of vomit and cotton candy. I’m sure Disneyland is much cleaner but I think that same type of thing applies. Once you add up those costs like that, Artler, you really get a feeling for the Commitment to Fun. It makes Chevy’s Chase’s trip to Wally World seem pretty realistic. Here’s an idea: Instead of spending all that money, find a worthy family with kids who could use an all-expense trip to Knott’s Berry Farm or a local water slide park. Admission appears to be about $78.00 for the Knott’s water slide park. If somebody knows a family like that in need and who would appreciate it, I’ve got $100.00 I’ll contribute to it right now if someone will cooridinate that. Something like that would leave me feeling way more satisfied and gratified than fighting it out in the over-priced lines at Disneyland. For me, Disney is just way too commercialized. I mean, yes, that’s what it is. That’s what any theme park is. They're selling a commercialized, artificial experience. But Disney just seems to do it obscenely so.

Knotts is well regarded in its old form, not the new one one with carnival rides. My mother used to say they let you into Knotts for free but you had to pay to get out. In the 50s and 60s Knotts was unique. The fastest ride was a train that went about 10 mph and a stagecoach that went around the park. The big feature was the fried chicken dinners and Knotts home style jams and jellies. The last time I was there was in the 80s and they were changing to the new format. They used to have a cowboy cookout and campfire in the evenings the Son's of the Pioneer's were a featured group. Sadly, that is gone.

Good points. That makes me think that maybe taking kids to the beach is a fun and inexpensive form of entertainment, especially if it is a salt water beach where there is a lot to discover and do. Ocean Shores on the Washington coast has horses and ATVs for rent and all kinds of other fun stuff.
