Back in May, after a free 90 day trial, I purchased an annual subscription to Apple Music.
I'm pretty sure you can get this where you are Mac or PC, iPhone or Android. There are other services such as Spotify. If you have any experience on that or any other paid (or free) music source share them here.
But I'm been pretty satisfied with Apple Music. The normal price is $9.99 per month or you can get the annual subscription for $99.00. I did even a little better than this. From time to time, Apple will sell $100.00 of services credit (that you can put toward anything, including Apple Music) for $90.00. So I basically then got a year for $90.00.
The music selection is stupendous. I mean, it's got everything. And 90% of the stuff I listen to is new stuff. I've gotten more into jazz, classical, and a few other things (including Joni Mitchell who really is quite a singer).
My recommendation is to go ahead and try the 30 day trial. There's no catch. You can easily cancel it at any time.
And although I don't really have a robust data plan on my phone that allows for unlimited cheap streaming of music, I can still do some of that. And it's a real treat to say to the phone, "Play something by The Animals" and then have that streamed to you on your phone (and then, via wire, to my car's speaker system).
Let me know what services you've tried and like...and perhaps have subscribed to. I also have some friends who can get a lot out of the free services (usually supported by ads) that many services offer. Apple Music has no free side to it (other than the 3 month trial) but with others you can do a pretty good job with it if you can figure out how.
