For what it’s worth, there’s a 1960 movie starring Karlheinz “Böhm’s Away” Böhm called Peeping Tom. It actually has a high rating at IMDB. I’m not sure I’ll go out of my way to find it. Back to chicks, some first steps out of the nest are larger than others: How the hell does that behavior evolve? Seems like the way parenting is done in urban Detroit…maybe without the parents waiting at the bottom (although those two could be thought of as Nancy Pelosi and Senator Tim Scott).

Women traditionally are more concerned with security than men are, although I'm not sure if that would be a fair description of Elizabeth. But this is a generalization, and the first rule of generalizations is that there are always exceptions. This is why women have tended to prefer to maintain the status quo, since change is risky. This used to make them more conservative than men (exit polls showed that women slightly favored Nixon over JFK despite the latter's good lucks), but not now.
The reason for this is that starting in 1964 with Goldwater, conservatives have wanted to roll back the Behemoth, however carefully. Prior to that, it was expand vs. maintain, then it became expand vs. contract. It also didn't help that the Demagogues managed to become the peace party (women like that) despite their actual record. ("People said if I voted for Goldwater we'd be at war in six months. Well, I did and we are,")
Of course, the rise of a group of women who became a leftist pressure group doesn't help, either.

Mr. Kung, in order to have those photos embedded so they show in your posts, you have to use the "share" button at the top right when you're in Google Photos. It's the icon with three small circles connected with two lines. Copy that link and then paste it into the top line at this link. Hit the "submit" button and then copy the link from the "Image Link" box. Then past this link into this forum's "Insert Image" box. It should come out like this:

The fledglings have left the nest and are practicing how to fly. They started out combining jumping and flapping their wings. They are now flying a bit better and have moved around the patio. I think they will be perching in a nearby tree shortly. The parents are staying close to insure no harm comes to the kids.
I have noticed a sparrow or two coming over to scope things out. My wife thinks they probably want to steal the nest now that the cardinals have departed.

So do you plan to become the Birdman of Plano?

Without the bars. But I do have a warden.
You might recall that there was a Blue Jay nest outside my office window a few years back. I guess it was about 6 to 8 feet from me, so I also got a good look at that. Unfortunately, the squirrels got the eggs before they hatched. The cardinals' nest was harder to get at.

That chipmunk boxing Pluto's nose reminded my of the rats one would encounter is Singapore. Of course, the rats were bigger and tougher.

As I previously mentioned, the fledglings left the nest a few days back. Since that time the squatters and scavengers have been snooping around the nest.
There were a couple of unhatched eggs left in the nest, which sat there forlornly after the family left. Well, these eggs have now been put to use. Yesterday, I noticed that the top of one egg had been peeled off as if someone had cut through it with a knife. The remains of the unhatched bird sat inside. The other egg had not been touched.
This morning both eggs had been completely opened and there was no sigh of anything other that broken shells.

Here is a video of a little "outdoor" activity which was sent to me by a friend in Austria. Admittedly, he is something of a gun-nut, but he retired out of the Austrian Army as either a full-bird colonel or brigadier general. I need to ask him again.
He sent it to me for the 4th of July, but I missed it. Not bad musicians.

Great video. At the end of the day, we're going to need some good old boys to go after Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

One episode of The Wild, Wild West featured West and Gordon visiting an embassy. The ambassador was practicing martial arts -- Artemus Gordon referred to it as "gung fu", which in fact would be the pronunciation of kung fu, making it probably the first TV reference to it -- and adding that he plans his next bout to be against a 700-pound grizzly bear. When Gordon says, "Claws taped, of course," he replies, "Why no, we have to give the poor bear a chance."

One of the things I determined by the time I was 30 was that Mother Nature does not want you. It's not just the snakes, bugs, lions, tigers and bears, but also the climate, rain, dust, snow, ice, heat, and all the rest is an environment hostel to the presence of humans. Oh, I'm fine with visiting and admiring the wondrous but I want to be back inside. With a real toilet, kitchen, TV, computer and a barcalounger.

On another subject; today I saw something which I have never seen before. At least that I can recall. A yellow sky. We had an overcast sky and brief thunderstorm after which the sky started to clear. This happened as the sun was going down and the effect was spectacular. Our backyard was covered in a yellow (with a bit of orange) glow. Much more beautiful than the photos in the link.

Clearly the whales don't like eco-European-libtards. I don't blame them.

Readers might recall, my desk sits next to a large window which faces West. As might be expected, there is a tree and some bushes standing in front of this window in order to shade the window from the afternoon sun. The area behind the tree and bushes must be around 20 sq ft and of course, there is some small open space/gap between the tree and bushes. My chair is located about 4 feet from the window, so with the brick ledge included, I sit between 4.5 and 5 feet from the enclosed space behind the tree and bushes.
It is common for me to see squirrels running around the tree and ground. I have also seen numerous birds, including a hawk, come and go. But today is the first time I have seen Bobcat kittens in the area.
This afternoon while reading on my computer I heard rustling outside my window. I first thought it might be squirrels, which are all too common here. Yet, the volume of this rustling made me think it might be something else. So I decided to have a look.
I keep the Venetian blinds down to keep what little sun might get through the tree limbs to a minimum. But I don't lower them to the sill. I leave a ten-inch gap between the blinds and the sill.
Due to the angle of the view, there was a slight glare on the window pane. This made it difficult to see clearly what was happening outside the window. I moved slightly, which helped with the glare and was surprised to see two Bobcat kittens playing tag with each other. Although it is not rare to see a Bobcat in my neighborhood, this is the first time I have seen kittens up close. Their mother was nowhere in sight.
I would guess each of the kittens to be about one foot long. And as is to be expected from kittens, they were rambunctious. They stopped running around for a moment and I went to let Mdm. Flu know about them. By the time I returned, they had departed. I suspect I will see them again soon.
A small thing, but enjoyable.
