The Babylon Bee reported that the International Emmys also gave Joseph Stalin a posthumous award for his management of reporting on hunger in the Soviet Union. Many other similar awards were handed out, including Hugo Chavez for his innovative program reducing the population of feral cats, Lord Scar for uniting hyenas and lions in the Pride Lands, and King Solomon for chastity. There are several reports that the Yellow Jester will appoint Blinken, a pro-Israel Jew with diplomatic experience, Secretary of State. He also plans to name Winken to be National Security Advisor and Nod to be Ambassador to the Useless Nations (a position which involves a lot of nodding in the best of times).

One of the stupidest set of lyrics set to a song is the otherwise pretty good one by Elton John and Bernie Taupin: "Rocket Man":
Buzz Aldrin was an expert in navigation. Had the Apollo computer broken down or malfunctioned, he might have found their way home. He was apparently that good. Astronauts in that day had to have enormous technical knowledge.
Fast forward 55 years. It seems Taupin was just a little early in his estimation. Now it does seem that they have become mere passengers. Jesus H. Christ, when William Shatner went up on one of Bezos' rockets, he would have known enough not to let a bag of equipment drift away into outer space.
It's obvious this "all female spacewalk" was yet another instance of feminism trumping competence. Or identity politics trumping competence.
It is no exaggeration to say that I am as qualified as those women to take a "spacewalk"...just as I was as qualified as William Shatner to be a passenger on a Jeff Bezos rocket ship.
