Amusing indeed. The Witch-King of Angmar would make a good George Soros, or is it the reverse? And here's a nice video by Remy on bar closings:

Okay, we have Soros as the Witch-King (though I wonder who could be Meriadoc Brandybuck and Eowyn). If Barry Zero is Grima, then who is Saruman, and for that matter the Dark Lord? I suppose the MaligNancy would be Gothmog, Lord of Minas Morgul, who commanded the hordes of Mordor after the Witch-King fell. The Yellow Jester would be the Mouth of Sauron (a very appropriate role, actually).
Would Trump be Faramir or Boromir? That might almost function as a conservative ink-blot test.

Ah, DJT must be Gandalf. I see Tom Cotton as Fairamir. For my money Mitten Romney must be worm tongue The real Sauron remains hidden, but I like the profit from Chicago as the mouth of Sauron.

The reason I like the Yellow Jester as the Mouth of Sauron is that the latter no longer had a mind or even an identity of his own. He was arrogant and cowardly, but that describes most leftists and politicians. Come to think of it, that would probably make She Guevara and the Jihadettes Sauron. Of course, when you consider that wide-eyes look She Guevara has, she probably would be good as the Lidless Eye.
And Al the Goracle would obviously be Old Man Willow. Darth Bader Ginsburg would make a good barrow-wight. Would Ron and Rand Paul be Bilbo and Frodo Baggins? (I think the Bushes would be Lotho and Otho Sackville-Baggins. Lisa Murkowski would be Lobelia.)

Babylon Bee has done it again, with a report on Grinch Noisome's anger at religious singing on Sunday despite his edicts. It's a lovely parody using Dr. Seuss's own words. The link is:

I had to post this under Humorous News, although some might disagree with me.

I just came across that at Hot Air. Officially, of course, it's because they don't feel safe given all the restrictions on non-lethal police tactics by the (Demagogue) administration in Milwaukee. But unofficially, one can suspect a lot of police have no wish to protect Demagogues who are on the side of the criminals rather than the police and crime victims. I hope something similar happens at NBA and NFL games (assuming there are any).
As Dirty Harry said early in Magnum Force, "Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch of guys."

Michael Ramirez has a superb parody of the Barr hearings using the anatomy of the ear -- and he knew, or was able to find, the correct terminology to parody it with. How many people would know about the malleus or the cochlea, for example? The link is:

Babylon Bee has uncovered the Founding Fathers' response to current political developments, and unsurprisingly it ain't pretty. The link is:
They also provided a sneak preview of the Yellow Jester's VP choice, who certainly meets all his stated and unstated requirements. The link is:
They also reported on an alien contact gone awry in a fashion that Fredric Brown once used in one of his stories. The link is:

Mr. Flu will get a kick out of this.
I was testing this new Apple translation app that is coming to iOS 14. I’m using the beta version now.
It seemed to do very well translating my spoken English to German. So I thought I’d try setting it the other way. It translated correctly a few German phrases spoken to it.
And then I thought I’d throw it something harder. Don’t ask me why I remember this word but I do.
So I spoke into the translator: “ aufenthaltsgenehmigung”. It translated it as “Alvin health skin a mango”. Perhaps Mr. Flu can explain that.

This next one is almost better. Assuming my pronunciation is pretty good, for “Schreibwarengeschäft” I got “Shrug bar in good Shepherd.”
Well, this wouldn’t be the first time there was difficulty with German compound words.
