Mark the cause of death as "karma is a bitch". And so was she. One wonders what happened that there was so much blood. I'm not sure decapitation (while alive) would be enough.

This is what needs to be said now and often www.tabletmag.com/sections/israel-middle-east/articles/america-needs-decisive-israeli-victoryA decisive Israeli victory will pave the way for a strengthened pro-American alliance of the Jewish state and the Gulf Arab monarchies. Anything less will spell the loss of American influence in this key region. For America to prevail, Israel’s victory must be overwhelmingly decisive, impressive if not shocking, and leave the region permanently changed.
Contrary to often well-meaning protests in the West, there is no easy line between Hamas and the population of Gaza. In reality, Hamas was elected by Gazans in 2006; if elections were held today, it would win again by even larger margins. The death and destruction that is about to be unleashed on Gaza is necessary to defeat the regime, and only Hamas and its Gazan supporters are to blame.
It is therefore a strategic imperative for both Washington and Jerusalem that the Gaza war ends with a blow to Iran’s positions. Hezbollah is the Iranian front line, but the IRGC forces in Syria and Iraq are the most obvious direct targets. An attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, so long planned for, should be on the table as soon as Hezbollah has been neutralized. Devastating Hamas and Hezbollah and exacting a major price from Iran for the behavior of its proxies will come at a tremendous cost to Israel, but an even greater cost to its enemies. It is the only sufficient end to this war that can turn around what is currently a strategic disaster that threatens both America and Israel.

Yep
Ditto.
Yep.
Yep.
Sounds sensible. In effect, will Israel and the U.S. look at this as putting out a few brush fires or will they tame the lightning? It will likely be something in between, probably veering closer to putting out brush fires.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no way western culture can live with Islam. No matter how willing the west is to compromise and make adjustments for the sake of peaceful accommodation Islam will not amend its ways. It is still a barbaric 7th century viper and needs to be physically stamped out once and for all.
From the time of Jefferson and the Barberry pirates and Theodore Roosevelt Islam has played cat and mouse with the United States. It is time to turn the power of the west on every Moslem country that is involved in this the war of the religion of peace. It is binary, you're either in favor of western values or your not. If not we will destroy you and your society and leave the rest to rot. Don't tell me we will make more enemies with a scorched earth policy, they can't hate us any more than they do now. What they don't have now is fear. Leave the remains with a fear of the west so profound that it will last 1000s of years. Kill them all, I don't care if G-d sorts them out.

Which Western Culture? The leftist nuts in the country, including many Jews, who are the products of our "education" system, which promotes anything but "Western" values. These people are supporting Hamas. I wouldn't mind sending them all to the Gaza Strip, where they could "help" the poor Palestinians.
Be that as it may, it would be impossible to stamp out Islam across the world. Regardless what one thinks about the moral question, disposing of 2 billion people spread out across a huge geographical area would be a daunting task, even with nuclear and/biological weapon. America couldn't get 35 million Muslim goat herders under control in 20 years of occupation of Afghanistan. Our escapades in Iraq have proven to be a failure. Somalia? Don't even go there. And none of these countries had much support from other countries in fighting us. Today, you can bet that many many countries would go to the aid of any Muslim country which was attacked without some sort of clear and damning reason.
Throughout history, nations/countries/dynasties have had to deal with blood enemies without being able to destroy them. The power of the one or other ebbs or flows depending on many factors. The complete destruction of an enemy people is rarely the outcome of any endeavor. Managing such enmities, as messy as that can be, is the norm.
I do not see how Israel is going to be able to even come close to getting rid of the 2 million inhabitants of Gaza. Should Israel even appear to be doing this, I have no doubt it would boomerang on her and damage her dramatically.
I believe that there is no permanent solution to the present situation in the Levant. That means that Israel will have no choice but to remain constantly vigilant and strong. New conflicts and attacks will pop up whenever Israel's enemies believe they can gain from them. Israeli will have to become more of a military state. This will cause a constant strain on Israeli citizens, but I see no other realistic option. Jewish Spartans or Spartan Jews?

Same conclusion here, made decades ago. Others never learn.
George W. Bush: "Islam is a religion peace." Winston Churchill: “How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property – either as a child, a wife, or a concubine – must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.” Who do you suppose had it right?

www.timesofisrael.com/nineteen-days-since-the-massacre-israel-has-achieved-nothing-its-time-to-go-in/It is time to turn Gaza into a parking lot. Stop being fancy and kill the bastards The US and Israeli leaks to leading international outlets, and Netanyahu’s rather superfluous address to the nation Wednesday night, could all be part of a well-coordinated deception campaign.
US and Israeli officials could have agreed to get Hamas to lower its guard by making it seem like the White House was pushing Israel for a delay, and that the war cabinet was rolling over in the face of Biden’s demands.

I hope the Israelis have a better plan than that. Whatever people think, the blowback will be enormous unless there is some type of safety valve to keep the whole thing from exploding.
Unfortunately, I don't think our elites have anything better in mind. I suppose they will let in several hundred thousand "refugees" which will only make our situation worse.

Every avenue has been explored and spit on by the Moslems except massive destruction. Time to hoist the black flag and let them see what the consequences are. The Left’s Planned Destruction of the Judeo-Christian Worldwww.americanthinker.com/articles/2023/10/the_lefts_planned_destruction_of_the_judeochristian_world.htmlAnd www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/10/joe_biden_has_blown_up_the_world.htmlBiden is an angry man, a stupid man, an arrogant man, and a little man. He was never a good senator. He is a racist; he relished humiliating Clarence Thomas during his confirmation hearing. He constantly makes up things that he’s done or accomplished when those claims are easily checked. He lies repeatedly about how and where his son Beau died. He has tried for years to make us believe he is good, smart, and legitimate, but he is none of those things. He has brought the United States to a historic low — the brink of another world war. He’s blown up the world.

It is potentially unseemly for a non-Jew to speculate and treat this like a football game. I do pray from my Jewish brothers and sisters, as well as the non-Jews caught up in this.
It's possible that the answer to the 19 days of non-ground-war could be part of a deal made with Biden. The presence of those aircraft carriers is presumably to deter Hezblowjob. It's possible that Israel made a deal to "spare the Palestinians" in exchange for the presence of those carriers. Or there is pressure by the Biden administration to remove them if lots of television pictures of dead Hamas-voters (aka "Palestinians") are seen.
But a clusterfuck of indecisiveness does seem to be happening. Of course, if we were to know the plans of the IDF, the plans wouldn't be worth a damn, so who knows?

I do think it's time to treat the Palestinians the same way the British treated the residents of Dresden. They brought this upon themselves. The "Palestinians" need to be ejected from the land. There is no requirement anymore for Israel to play "nice" with terrorists and those who support them.
Granted, there are PR realities here. That's a game that has to be played. But I give the green light to the tanks and the bulldozers.

It is interesting to see others finally catching up with what we have known for decades. I even recall some readers here hesitating to believe my history-based observation that the first thing the Left goes after is religion. This was very clear during the French Revolution. Oh well, maybe it is better late than never that others are finally beginning to realize what is, and has been, going on for centuries. But maybe it is too late. We will see.
One thing that I believe is wrong with this piece, and that of Mamut's, is conflating what is happening in Israel with trying to get rid of Christianity. What is happening now in Israel is much more specific. It is the attempt to get rid of Israel, not Christianity. I believe the majority of Jews in Israel are not religious, and a very large percentage of them are leftist, but you can be sure those attacking Israel want to get rid of them as much as they do the religious Jews. In fact, Islam's war against the rest of the world is nothing new. It is just that the foundation of Israel gave it a new impetus. Woke up a moribund creature.
I understand Israelis and those who support Israel wanting to mystically link the defense of Israel with the survival of Christianity in America, but that doesn't wash. In fact, it borders on the dishonest, in my opinion. I find the following sentence particularly questionable. The American left (and big business interests) has been empowering the Muslim community in the USA for decades now. Depending on who one reads, there are something like 5 million Muslims already residing legally in America. That does not count the thousands who have been coming across our borders illegally. What happens in Israel will make little to no difference as to what happens here, unless we keep our borders open and bring in hundreds of thousands of Palestinian "refugees."
This is not to say that we shouldn't help Israel, but I do tire of poorly thought out or downright dishonest pleas claiming if Israel falls America is going to crumble. Bullshit. That sounds too much like the "End-of-times" evangelical panic I am hearing. Why not just say that Israel is our closest ally in the Middle East, perhaps in the world; that it is not only vital to our broader security interests, but that supporting Israel in its pursuit to destroy Hamas, is also the moral thing to do?
In the meantime, close our f@#king borders. Saving America will do more to protect Israel than anything else we can do.

The "Palestinians" need to be ejected from the land. Where do they go and who is going to take them? I don't care, like the Germans after WWII They are going to have to prove they are reformed. Islam needs to reform or die. Granted, there are PR realities here. That's a game that has to be played.
Those realities are very important. If propaganda wasn't effective, we wouldn't be constantly bombarded with the rubbish spewed by our elites and their lap-dog media. Truman didn't consult thew media when he dropped the first bomb or the second. And while we are at it let's take down the sponsor of all this Iran. A gift that keeps on giving from "Jimmy Carter" now the second worst president in American history.

Let's remember, these are the people who repeatedly voted for and supported (and still support) the movement to kill all the Jews. They can go live in the Sudan for all I care. But they have lost the right to live amongst civilized nations.
It seems to me the Sinai would be suitable. But there is no chance in rehabilitating this group. They have to be out. If Israel values the opinions of the New York Times more than the safety of its own people, then they will have learned nothing from this.

OK. I am waiting for a detailed plan as to how this will be done. It sounds very easy, but it is anything but. The logistics alone would take a huge effort. Who is going to put this together? Egypt? They already have lots of Palestinian refugees and their population is growing faster than their economy. Jordan? They also have plenty of Palestinians and over 50 years ago, King Hussein had the Jordanian military surround and kill a bunch of PLOs living in Jordan as they appeared to be planning a coup. Lebanon? The country is teaming with Hizbullah. Syria? They have had a civil war for years and the Turks are still occupying some of the country. The Kurds are fighting both the Turks and Assad. Iran? A bunch of 12er Shiites taking in a couple of million Sunnis? Saudi Arabia? In case anyone has missed it, places like Saudi Arabia and the Emirates only take in Palestinians as cheap labor or cheap technical help. They don't take in huge numbers. And America's influence over all of the Gulf States has waned over the Biden Administration. My point is that saying something is easy, but thinking it our and making it happen is difficult. It might sound righteous to say, "The Palestinians are morally bankrupt and must leave the Gaza Strip." Developing and actuating a plan to implement this sentiment is something altogether different. Furthermore, who are any of us to say that this or that country should accept the Palestinians? You say the Sinai would be suitable. I didn't know anyone other than the nation of Egypt held title to the Sinai. It is therefore not for anybody else to determine if is suitable of not. The same holds for the Sudan. The Gaza Strip problem is, to a very large degree, a problem which Israel created and exacerbated. Sharon, a leftist, gave it away. Netanyahu, a rightist, funded Hamas. Europe and the USA, knowing they could do little to solve the problem, sent funds to the place to keep the people in charge as quiet as possible i.e. buy them off. Germany sent millions earmarked for education, but didn't understand the books that money bought would teach the children to hate Israel and Jews. I don't have a detailed solution, but we don't need a Palestinian diaspora, which is the result of an Israeli scorched earth campaign on the Gaza Strip. I believe the only way to half-way control things would be for the Israelis to occupy the place and keep soldiers there as they did before. This would cost a lot of Israeli blood, but what other options do they have? Would the U.N. send in a peace-keeping force there which actually kept the peace? I doubt it. Getting rid of Hamas is necessary. To accomplish this will also cost a huge number of civilian lives as collateral damage. But there is a big difference between collateral damage in pursuit of a military objective and the wholesale uprooting, removal and slaughter of a couple of million civilians. If Israel were to do the latter, it would inflict upon itself a moral wound from which it would very likely never recover. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe the world wouldn't care. Maybe the Jews wouldn't care. Maybe then people would be happy to point out the Jews claim of being the world's moral compass/conscience was B.S. all along. I wonder what the ramifications of that realization would be? I doubt they would be positive for either Israel or Jews in general.
