I think you’re talking about his dyslexic Latino one-legged lesbian Muslim crossdressing partner. But I understand it’s easy to get confused.

Some thoughts on the last season of Bosch.
I finished the season this weekend. On the whole it was a marginally acceptable experience. However, I did get a real "this is it" tone from the all the actors. Titus Welliver has the part of Bosh down so well I felt he was walking through most of the series. It is not that he isn't good for the part but the energy he contributed in the first season wasn't there. Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers) avoids this problem by getting shot early and thereafter being in a coma. Chief Irving (Lance Riddick) who seemed to be adverse to political skullduggery shows himself to be no better, and probably no worse, than most police chiefs. Believe it or not the high point was Maddie Boush (Madeline Lintz) who has quit whining and begun to act like an adult. She may actually become an actress someday.
As for the story, it was typical Connelly with a few twists but predictable as anyone who has red the novels knows Bosch is headed to the PI world. Lt Billets is sexually harassed by two white cops, supported by her noxious captain--ho hum how predictable and unnecessary. Overall, on a scale of 1-10, with a 10 being the first season this was a 5 and only a a 5 because Maddie was not a bitch.

The final season of Bosch is on Amazon Prime. The is called Bosch: Legacy. It picks up from last with Bosch becoming a PI and Maddy (Madison Lintz) joining the LAPD. Honey Chandler (Mimi Rodgers) has recovered from wounds and is back as a foil for Bosch and the justice system. So far through 8 parts some good moments for both. A few old favorites make cameos, J. Edger the most noticeable and some minor characters.
Bosch has assumed the total PI role with noir office, unshaven and constantly grumpy. Phillip Marlow beware. The only thing missing is a fedora. Bosch is hired by a billionaire to find if he has an heir by a long lost love. Ok, very predictable with ownership of his company going to the Board of directors if he dies with out heir. Maddy is a probationary cop making the usual mistakes. Frankly, I liked her better as a whiney per-law student than a cop. It is hard to be very intimidated by a woman who might weigh 110 lb fully clothed and soaking wet. Now she is a whiney bitch with a gun. Just like one of my now departed exes. If I were a criminal in LA and saw her coming for me, I'd laugh my ass off.
Titus Welliver is strong as Bosch, given that he really doesn't have much to do but fallow a very predictable plot to the end. I quit reading the Bosch books about the time he quit the force. This doesn't give much incentive to pick up where I left off.

I read that novel, but can't remember much about it. I find that is the case with most light fiction I read nowadays.
