This is the type of thing required to stop the present attempt of the federal government to force states to accept election fraud and adopt election laws which suit the left. I expect more states to express similar opinions and file suits against Garland and the Justice Department if the lefties push things. Read the Constitution A.G. Garland

Schlicter is now writing what we feared when Trump was elected. The downward spiral which is American politics will only get worse. I don't see it happening without a significant amount of bloody pain. The next guy won't be so nice

Sadly, altogether too true.
For about ten years in the 90s I only carried a knife when I was in public. I started carrying a gun again after I moved to Utah, in part because of easier carry laws, but also in recognition of perceived threats to myself and family from crazy progressives. Now I never leave the house with what my wife refers to as American Express,( Karl Malden, Never leave home without it) handgun, knife and cane.
The silence from the radical left is only temporary. We can use this time to arm up and be prepared for anarchy on the streets regardless of who the GOP runs for president in 2024 and regardless of who his opponent is. My suspicion is that a new set of riots won't start until spring of 2024. Except of course, for the obligatory riot when a policeman shoots a suspect, black or white.
My guess is massive violence will start in the Midwest, perhaps Indiana or Ohio and slowly spread East, West, and South. On a positive note, Americans purchased over 30,000,000 guns last year.

The link is to a brilliant piece which lays out in orderly detail where we are and why we are in such a desperate situation. The writer doesn't say it, but I think those behind this should be tried, convicted and lined up against a wall for the crimes they have committed. To destroy the people's trust in their institutions is treason and must be dealt with accordingly. It explains why Schlicter is probably correct. Normal people realize they have been screwed by the Regime

My money is on Portland/Seattle. As I tell people, I fully expect in the next 10 years to look across Puget Sound toward Seattle and see the sky filled with smoke. It will come to pass.

I weould not be surprised, however, the Midwest radical right its strongest and is more likely to begin real insurrection than the pussies on the left coast who will only fight if they sense there will be no opposition.

Perhaps Mt. Rainer erupting and destroying Seattle? A bit like what happened with Sodom and Gomorrah.

An interesting interview of Tucker Carlson by Weltwoche, a Swiss magazine which I have previously linked to from time to time. It is a reliably conservative publication, which is rare in Europe. Even more important, it is written and edited by intelligent people. Tucker Carlson

Here is further confirmation of the fact that we do not live in a capitalist-free-market system. The federal and state governments imposed shutdowns on large areas of the country for over 16 months by declaring some businesses as "essential" and others as non-essential. Of course, the big companies which spend hundreds-of-millions to billions in lobbying and political contributions were deemed essential, while the rest were not. The shutdown of such a large number of businesses for months on end has had and will have year-long repercussions. Power is concentrated in fewer hands and the state-megabusiness partnership will be able to work even more closely together to shave away our rights. But what the hell, we will have more choices of chewing gum, potato chips, shampoo, TV channels and soft drinks. Now those things are important. Trillions transferred from us to them

Agreed agreed agreed with all that you say.
You can’t maintain anything worthwhile without strategic thinking. And I think you’d agree there is about zero of that going on amongst the rank-and-file. They are bought of by toothpaste choices.

The Biden Administration has announced that it will require legal visitors to the USA to be vaccinated. But it has opened the borders to illegal immigrants and requires no such vaccinations for them.
It has been clear for years that a good percentage of the elites in this country have done their best to destroy it. Generally, they have not be open about this and worked away like termites eating out the foundations of the country.
Things have changed. They are now openly doing their best to speed the demise of the USA and to get this done before the 2022. They know that the large majority of people are against what the left is trying to do.
Here are just some of the outrages being perpetrated on us.
Open borders and the spread of disease across the USA.
Let known illegal alien criminals move about freely in the country.
Dropping charges against Chinese spies.
Spreading Chinese spies throughout our universities, industry and government.
Cutting police department budgets.
Holding hundreds of non-violent Americans in solitary confinement without charging them.
Releasing violent criminals without bail.
Demanding children get vaccinated against a disease which does not much effect them.
Destroying the main street economy in favor of the government and plutocrats.
Hollowing out the military.
Teaching CRT across all departments of the government.
Teaching CRT in all schools.
Restricting speech.
Spending trillions which is causing inflation and will require future generations to be bankrupt.
Claiming racism is endemic in the country and one is a racist by virtue of being white.
Demanding people deny fact and biology by allowing mentally ill people to claim sex is fluid and a social construct.
There is much more but I will stop for the moment.
We must stop this.

A good article by Ann Coulter: Parenthood Has Driven Our Policy Elite MadIt’s all good, but my ears perked up when I read this bit: This we may call the “Cuckold Conservative.” His internal organs have been replaced by the wants and needs of feminists.

I had a long conversation with my youngest grandson yesterday. He starts high school this year. He feels that there is something wrong with the public school system and is concerned that he will have trouble countering the propaganda spewed by so-called educators. This was not what I had planned for a tutoring lesson but I went with his interest and passion.
His first question to me was what happened to the schools in the last 50 or so years? One of the themes we explored was parent involvement. I related my own experience in the 50s and 60s. I think it reflects the experiences of most of our generation. Our parents were not overly involved in the schooling of their children because they trusted the system. The teachers were genuinely sincere about education as were administrators. As a group our parents trusted them to do the right thing. Additionally, most were survivors of the Second World War and Depression, which gave them a unique American perspective.
A second theme was the launch of Sputnik. I remember awaking that October morning in 1957 to find that the clod-hoping Soviets had put a satellite in orbit. I remember standing on our street watching a little blip of light cross the sky. And a feeling that somehow the world had changed. It had, almost overnight schools switched focus from liberal arts to what we now call STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). That change in focus brought thousands of people into every application dealing with space.
Suddenly, we were turning out thousands of technicians, scientists and engineers who by their nature would have been better fitted in business or humanities, the future secondary, and university teachers. However, these future English, literature and history teachers no longer were in the system. Standards changed allowing teachers with little or no knowledge to teach humanities. And, these were not chosen from the very best but those willing to take an education job. In short, second and third class quality, if not worse.
The tradition continues of little to no parental supervision of public education. We want to believe the education establishment has the best interest of the children at heart. However, over the last 18 months that laissez-faire attitude has changed as parents stuck at home with their children were exposed to the curriculum being taught. The mini-rebellions going on in school districts across the country are a direct result. So, in a sense the lockdowns did accomplish one thing. Parents are more aware that trusting the schools to do the right thing is no longer an option. The question we must ask--will they actually do something about it?
A first action must be to discredit the teachers unions even if it means discharging the entire work force. I have hopes but no expectation of success.

I don’t know if the ultimate cause was Sputnik (although it very well could be). But I’ve read from several reputable sources (Thomas Sowell, for instance) how degraded the standards have become for teachers in general, inside or outside of the humanities. The same for journalism. For those with few brains, “journalism” is the go-to subject, as is getting an education degree. Is there any doubt that this show on TV, schools, and elsewhere?
Let’s hope so.
I would say that the public school system must be dissolved, replaced by vouchers and such for private schools. And private schools would pop up all over because they could do the job for half the price (or less) than public schools. Don’t discredit teachers’ unions. Eradicate them.
Good luck to your grandchild. I sense he is better prepared to wade his way through the nonsense than most 50-year-olds.

The same for journalism. For those with few brains If you're ever cursed to go to a school of journalism at any university or college, grab any student or instructor and ask them why they are there. Kriswell predicts--the answer will be some form of, "I want to do something to make the world better". the translation is I want too make the news, not report the news. Until that point of view changes, neither will journalism. My youngest grandson is my daughter's youngest son. He is 14 and almost 6'1". If we can put a few pounds on him he will be an imposing man. He is a quiet thinker. Takes in a lot of input and tends to keep his own counsel. I have been tutoring him in history and military history for about six months. We don't call it tutoring, just a conversation. Unlike most of his teachers and all of his classmates he has actually read the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Constitution. He is also the youngest member of his Son's of Confederate Veterans camp. His questions on education took me somewhat by surprise, but he always brings good humor, and understanding to many difficult questions.

I believe the main reason behind the degradation of the public school system in America lies in the absolutely horrible way in which schools were integrated in the late 1960s and early 1970s. From one day to the next, huge numbers of poorly educated black kids were bused into schools in white areas where students were generally much better educated. At the same time, better educated white kids where bused into black areas where students were generally poorly educated.
The poor black kids could rarely keep up with the white kids in the white areas and in order to give them a chance, much of the curriculum was abandoned and the pace of teaching was slowed down, thus lowering the performance overall.
The white kids sent to black schools were generally well ahead of their black co-students and were poorly served. Thus they also began to fall back to the level of the schools they were forced to attend.
The result of the above was a general degradation of the public school system.
Add to that the fact everyone who could think knew something like this would happen, and those parents who could afford it, pulled their kids out of public schools and sent them to private schools. This had the additional effect of removing a good number of interested mothers from interaction with the public school system. These mothers were good at keeping an eye on what was happening in their children's schools.
A two-tiered system was created in which the upper 2% or so, went to private schools and had a big jump on success in life, whereas the rest of the plebs were stuck in mass baby-sitting systems.
I graduated in 1971 and we already has a number of black kids in our schools, but most lived in the area. The big push came in the year after I graduated. In my sophomore year of college, an old high-school history teacher of mine asked me to come back and teach his classes for a day. I did this and was appalled at the drop in the level of students. One class in particular was full of the bums of the school. They has no interest in learning anything. After the day was over I told my teacher how appalled I was and he told me he had asked me to teach the class so I would experience, first hand, what was going on in our schools.
It was that day that I formulated my belief that the USA was doomed. I knew that the country would split into two main groups, a large group of poorly educated plebs and a small group (I always use 2% for this group due to history) who would be well educated and have the right connections to get on in life. We were going back to the way things had generally been throughout history, i.e. into a new feudalism. I think I have been pretty well proven correct. We have masses of poorly educated people. Many who are unwilling or unable to hold on to a job. And many in positions for which they are not qualified as we don't have enough well educated people to fill the jobs. This is a vicious circle and the number of poorly educated people increase as we don't have enough qualified people to teach them properly.
What is galling is that much of this could have been avoided. In 1970-71 the father of a girl I was dating told me how integration should have been done. His idea was that starting in year 1, all across the country every 1st grade should be integrated. In year 2. those from year 1 would move up to second grade and the first grade would again be fulling integrated. This would continue each year and in 12 years every school in the USA would be integrated with a much reduced set of problems for the country.
Of course, there would have been problems, but I still think his idea was the best I have ever heard for this problem. Of course, it was too logical for the assholes who ran things.
There is one caveat or rider to the above. I am not sure any country could or can survive the massive number of illegitimate births which take place in the black community and increasingly the nation as a whole. Every generation has its percentage of bastard children. But what has happened in the USA with the breakup of the family is unprecedented. Children who have been left to their own devices without instruction, little and erratic discipline, no structure or guidance i.e. who have been brought up in chaotic circumstances find it very difficult to adjust to a disciplined school setting. I assure you that teachers give up on such children after a while. The American business community does as well. That's one reason they want the import of so many foreign workers. They are better disciplined and work harder.
