“Practical politics” means that ratchet clicks one more notch left as we incrementally accept the Left’s agenda. This is why I can’t get hot-and-bothered (too much) about Liz Cheney or Mittens. These guys are just a couple years ahead of where the rest of them are going. And Trump was ahead of all of these clowns accepting the Left's premises on "gender identity."

Hannity has always been a weather vane on important issues. Other than making money for Sean Hannity, I am not really sure he has core principles. I have long thought of him as a 4th-rate Rush Limbaugh.

I was not overly impressed with this piece. She skirts around the truth for far too long. It is not tribalism which has come to America, it is immoral leftist politics. Every questionable act or person she mentioned is of the left. She does not have any examples of Republicans or conservatives going tribal. Why obfuscate by confusing this with "tribalism?" Just come out and say it, "The Left is power hungry, irrational and vicious toward those who do not either agree with or kowtow to them. The Left must be fought."
I will admit she has touched on something that is true. The social-glue (Western Culture) which has held the country together for two centuries has been greatly weakened by the influx of tens-of-millions of people from around the world which do not hold sacred our traditions of law, religion and fair play. They have completely different histories and moral values. But once again, this influx happened because of the left, and later, because of avaricious business interests.
Tribalism i.e. fragmented special interest groups, was always the left's goal.

In this case, I see not discernable difference. In fact, I think having an insane transvestite (I don't think he has had a sex change operation) as governor sends a worse message than having some left-wing dingbat in office. A left-wing dingbat is easier to criticize than a mentally-ill transvestite, these days. I say this as someone who greatly admired Bruce Jenner when I was a yute. Now, not so much.

Yes, I read today somewhere that he still has his unit. Maybe not as crazy as we thought. But certainly crazy enough. I just wish Johnny Carson was alive. I’d love to hear his monologue.

A left-wing dingbat is easier to criticize than a mentally-ill transvestite, An excellent point and one that, I think, thousands of normal Californians will ask themselves when they go to the poll. The question is do they hate Newsum more. Jenner has the advantage, if you can call it that, even if elected he will be totally controlled by the legislature which has super majorities in both houses. So, in terms of major policy change don't look for Jenner to do anymore than Arnold did when he replaced Davis, maybe less. The vote is two fold: The first question is do you want the governor recalled? I think that get a notable yes. The second question is who do you want to replace him if you answered yes? This is where it gets sticky all that is required is a plurality not a majority and there could be as many as several hundred candidates on the ballot. So, it it seems entirely possible that 25-30% plurality would win. Someone with party backing and money could be governor. I give Jenner as good a chance as any other announced candidate. It is still possible someone with real world credibility could come out. I thought it might be Ric Grennel, but on reflection I think he is waiting for the general election and perhaps an opportunity to swing the state senate republican. I guess in short, until Nov 2022 it may not matter who runs California they will just be a caretaker.

We all hope that, like some drunken sailor on a binge in a remote port, that California will sober up. Things are so weird there (at least from what I’ve read) that you’d have to think that at some point a majority would walk the state back from the brink.
Those aren’t (I hope) foolish wishes. But there are many things standing in the way, including especially a religious-like devotion to a way of life and philosophy that they think is supreme. And if you can ignore all the results of this political-religion (as they typically do), it can all seem fine.
I suspect (much like elder folk in Western European countries) that they have no thought or care about what comes next. The true disaster (they think) will happen after they are dead and gone.
So at some point the younger generations are going to have to decide if what they have now is what they want more of: Illegal aliens on government assistance, “homeless” people everywhere, needles and feces in the street, lack of infrastructure for basics such as water and energy, the state all but run by corrupt unions, etc. But, by god, if you can cut your balls off and call yourself a “woman,” that seems to be for most the canary in the coal mine of what makes California special. Their Gadsden flag would have Caitlyn Jenner on it.
I see no return to traditional ethics. Legalizing pot, in my opinion, has made it impossible for the masses ever again to overthrow their masters. It is their befuddling Soma to add on top of all the programming they receive via government schools.
Californians have masters in abundance even as they continue to believe the California Dream can go on forever. Good luck with that, fools. Consider what it means to the actual state of things if even a mentally marginal person such as the cross-dressing Caitlyn Jenner might, in the context, be a reformer.

California has the approximate same GDP as Germany at about 3.4 trillion and with a smaller overall population-CA 36 million and Germany 85 million. In a rational world we could expect that Germany would desire to use it population as a lever to acquire more wealth but that is not the case. CA seems bent on coming down to the German level with socialist/communist political parties. CA even has copied Germany with their version of the National Socialist Workers Party, (ANTIFA) with propaganda eagerly supplied by Hollywood.
I don't hold much hope for my friends and relatives who still reside in the people's republic of California. On reflection the bear on the state flag resembles a hairy cow and we all know what happens to cows.

At the end of the day, most of our society has trouble with the concepts of consequences and limits.

The link is to a letter signed by over 100 retired Flag-Grade officers of the USA armed services. The import of this letter is similar to that which French officers sent last week. The letter strongly implies that the November election was less that legal, but it goes much further than that. It lays out the perils which the nation is facing due to the "Socialist, Marxist and Progressive" takeover of the Demoncrat Party. While many will not recognize most of the names listed, some will recognize names such as Gen. Boykin, Gen. McInerney and especially Adm. John Poindexter who was Reagan's National Security Adviser. The country stands on the precipice As a nation, we are fast approaching a moment of truth.

I don't want to get into the whole Liz Cheney thing. But I thought this was a great line from Dan Flynn:

Will anyone go to jail for this? If they are democrat/communist, No. If republican, a soft no, close to a maybe.

Several points which have come out so far regarding the forensic audit going on in Arizona. 1. The routers for the voting machines seem to be shared with the sheriff's office. This in itself is illegal, but it shows that the machines were connectable to the internet. 2. Hundreds of thousands of ballots have no chain of custody. This should legally cancel such ballots. 3. There are missing ballots. 4. The tags on many boxes do not match the contents of the boxes. Some of the tags have been removed. There are differences in the number of ballots mentioned on some boxes and the actual number of ballots in these boxes. 5. It appears the data files for the voting machines were deleted sometime after the Senate's subpoena was issued. The data file for "Results tally and reporting" appears to be gone. This is a crime. By federal law, election data is supposed to be kept for almost 2 years. Adjudicated files deleted

The article's author is missing the main point. What has been found so far is that the elections were not carried out according to the law. Period. Whether this was intentionally the case or not, matters only as regards how much jail time some people may or may not serve.
Some in Arizona have clearly stated that the problems which have arisen are not acts of omission, rather they are affirmative acts of commission of crimes. Too many irregularities have been found for this to have been just a mistake.
As everyone who watched the elections carefully knew, fraud was rampant.

University of VA Larry Sabato This is not a totally unbiased site but taking that into consideration there is information here that may bring some small amount of hope. centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/
