There has long been a popular American belief that "it can't happen here" (which is why Sinclair Lewis gave that title to his own novel of an American dictatorship). Perhaps Prager was one of the believers, or at least thought it would be much harder. After this year, we now know how easy it would be, though it might have to be gradual in some respects. But there were plenty of snitches willing to help criminalize minor actions.

But there is a difference between gas ovens and firing someone for not upholding the “gender identity” dogma. Yes, there is a difference but the distinction is growing smaller by the day. What is the average school from kindergarten to graduate school indoctrination is the common thread. Encouraging students to read and think is considered old fashioned. We are currently in the separation stage of tyranny. We see how it has manifested itself in California and New York. Those who disagree with the AC are socially stigmatized, reduced to "loser" status and denied employment and advancement if employed. The social pressure to go along to get along is similar to the social score the CCP uses to control citizens. We see other signs with the KFF vaccinations and those who are suggesting that proof of vaccination must be a requirement to conduct business. A Christian versed in scripture should be very concerned about requirement to carry the "number of the beast". As a Jew any system the requires me to be identified with a "seal of approval" granted by the state is worrying. How soon until AC decides to set up "education camps" for those refusing to take the vaccine?. Who is going to protest?

Well, yeah, I’m the slippery-slope advocate too.
I heard more than once that in parts of the black community that getting an education is considered “acting white.”
Absolutely no argument from me about that. All I’m saying is that if we want leaders too really push back against this stuff, don’t let Bruce Jenner use the lady’s room when he comes to your house.
I’m not Trump-fixated. I’m just not willing to call shit Shinola. The number of Christians who have gotten in bed with this bum is astonishing. And not just because “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” I understand that and think it’s a practical idea in some cases.
But I’m talking about the Christians who didn’t just think that Trump was the least objectionable alternative but thought he was Ordained by Almighty God to stay up late at night and dispense his idiotic Tweets.
That, I think, is a vulnerability of Christianity, or at least of phoned-in Christianity. It teaches that there is some kind of Holy and Mystical specialness in power and hierarchy itself. It’s the very reason that Catholics, for one, find it nearly impossible to root out the corruption in their own Church. And many others apparently forget the supposed message of Jesus on the Cross that ultimate power, meaning, and goodness is not about how many Supreme Court picks you get.

Babylon Bee had a set of predictions for the year, which included Camelface Harris becoming President early, and Republicans being sent to gulags. Eventually she took further revenge by insisting that they make bricks without straw. My thought was that leftist Jews would approve.

It certainly can happen here. Now. After decades of indoctrination and social and moral decay.
I see the willingness of people to wear masks as ominous. It tells me several things way beyond mere groupthink or caving to social pressure. That kind of stuff will always happen.
What surprised me most was running into almost no one on the right who said “Screw this, they can come arrest me, but I’m not closing down and I’m not wearing a mask.” The numbers aren’t in yet and I won’t argue via anecdote. But chances are we’re talking about a moderate-to-severe flu season. And, most of all, nothing near anything unprecedented.
But those (conservatives, real Christians, Libertarians, etc.) — the very people who know better not to trust the media — went along with everyone else. Oh, I’m aware of the excuses. It was a way to keep their business open. But didn’t that apply to the Jew? If you opposed anti-Semitism, wasn’t there a price to pay in Nazi Germany (or in many parts of the world now)?
So don’t come crying to me about how “I had to keep my business open.” Or a dozen other excuses. Nearly everyone caved, right and Left. So you can knock me over with a feather in regards to believing that much, much more toxic authoritarian/totalitarian cocktails will be fed to us next and soon.

Most of the vote is in for the Georgia Senate run-offs, and it's too close to call. Perdue is holding a very slight lead over Ossoff (50.1% with 98% counted), and Loeffler is narrowly trailing Warnock (49.7%). The odds against Loeffler are long at this point, but Perdue-Ossoff could go either way.
Whatever happened on November 3, it's unfortunate that the GOP was riven by an intra-party war. It looks like few GOP-inclined voters were dissuaded from voting, but in such close races it didn't take much to make a difference.

You really think Perdue has a chance with Demoncrat cheating? So far today, three of the largest Republican precincts had trouble with Dominion machines and monitors have been blocked from overseeing absentee ballots and signature confirmations in Fulton County. With conservatives "bend-over-and-take-it" philosophy, why would anyone think Republicans would fight?
The dumb asses deserve what they get. Unfortunately, we don't.
Gee, what a surprise! The Demoncrats have discovered another sure-fire way to cheat while dumb-ass conservatives stand by with their thumbs up their asses.

The dumb asses Perdue and Loeffler were warned in early November that if they didn't support looking into the voter fraud in Georgia, that a significant percentage of Trump voters would not support them.
These horrible people asked:
But the important thing is Perdue and Loeffler were very gracious in losing.

It seems GOP turnout was about 5% less than Demagogue turnout in the run-off, which no doubt explains most of the debacle. How much this comes from Demagogue enthusiasm had how much from the GOP intra-party struggle, with Lin Wood calling for GOP voters to boycott it, is hard to say. As it happens, there was a third statewide run-off, for the insurance commissioner, and the Republican candidate not only won but got more votes than anyone else.

I don't think it is so hard to figure out. As I understand it, Perdue and Loeffler received over 1,000,000 fewer votes yesterday than they did on Novermber 3rd. That number would have easily put them over the top. A tenth of that number would have put them over the top. They are both dumb-ass RINOs who threw away the country. A curse on them and theirs.
Today, the Republican National Committee is meeting at some resort planning ways to again sucker the idiots who have supported them in the past.

Nothing prepares you for cynicism like listening to the douchebags on television news — right or left.
They’re all “shocked, shocked” that riots are going on. On my god. The end of the republic.
But there was no such hand-wringing when Democrat-friendly mobs (armed to the teeth) did much, much worse and for a prolonged time (not to mention the church they burned down across from the White House). It was all considered positive as in “peoples’ voices being heard.”
This was no coup attempt. This was not political insurrection. Aside from the one protestor being shot (I don’t know the details), the worst thing that happened is that someone sat in Cuntlosi’s chair. What a hoot of a photo op that was. This was political theatre. It was a propaganda war. And Trump lost badly. If you can make Biden look reasonable, you’ve put in a good day of stupid.
Four years ago I said something like “Trump will delegitimize conservatism and do dire damage to the Republican Party.” Why? Because he wasn’t a conservative, he wasn’t a Republican (his lifelong associations and inclinations are mostly Democratic) and he was just a media clown with no substance (at least good substance) to him.
That’s not to say his economic policies weren’t good. God yes, a nice change from the environmental nuts trying to shut down everything. (At last, for them, they’ve found a way to do it with a virus.)
Trump’s post-election (not to mention pre-election) behavior has been damaging to the cause of opposing the Communists who are indeed a threat to our way of life. The media feigned offense but they were loving this opportunity to trash Trump and Republicans. If they could stage this again, I’m sure they’d chip in and pay the airfare for another round of MAGA zealots in DC.
The integrity of our elections is important. But that’s a separate issue (another thing — election reform — that has been severely damaged by the cry-wolf Trump). But at this point, I know I’m not alone in thinking, I don’t care if the Democrats cheated, I want this bum out of office, and the sooner the better.
The very interesting inside-baseball aspect of this is how the world has just collapsed on the “playing both sides of the street” politicians such as Ted Cruz. Mr. “Man of Great Thought and Integrity” has been tarnished by his pandering to the Trump zealots. But now — in a flash — Trump is toxic to everyone. No coattails. This asshole can threaten to “primary” someone all he wants. I suppose many Republicans would now welcome that as a badge of honor.
Am I surprised by any of this? Sure. But I knew something *like* this was inevitable since 2016. I just wasn’t sure of the details. The details are now in.

And I’m still unsure if the surrender of the Capitol by the Capitol police was just a routine act of letting the inmates run the asylum (as happened in Portland and elsewhere where the police let the rioters run amok) or if it was part of a PR opportunity. As it turns out, those photos of Bubba sitting in Cuntlosi’s chair (and other ridiculous photo ops) was great PR for the Democrats.
You have to smell a rat when the police basically just allowed protesters to enter the Senate. Or maybe they’re just an incompetent police force. Coin flip on that. I’m not sure.

If you knew something like this was inevitable, why would you be surprised? When Trump was elected, I laid it out very clearly that this was likely to happen and why. The fundamental reason was not Trump, but that the Demoncrats had been abusing normal, everyday Americans with an insane leftist agenda while the RINOs did nothing to stop this. Not only that, the RINOs joined arms with the left in the Globalist agenda, which does great economic damage to the American middle-class while fattening the pockets of our betters in a way which has rarely been seen in history.
Trump is merely a crude tool for the plebs who had finally become so fed up that they threw the bums out.
At this point??? Let's call a spade a spade. You were at "this" point from the moment Trump was sworn into office. Or am I wrong?

What are you saying, that Trump has gone along with some of the leftist crap that we find to be nonsense? I have no disagreement with that. But if you think Trump's term has been as leftist as we could have expected from Hillary, well, I hope that's not what you think. )
On the other hand,
1) Trump has kept us out of any new wars.
2) The economy grew very well until the CCP virus came along.
3) Manufacturing grew again in the USA.
4) The earnings of average Americans grew again after being pretty much stagnant for about 3-4 decades.
5) He appointed almost 300 judges and justices who are, on the whole, much more conservative than we could have expected from Hillary.
6) He built something like 450 miles of wall on the border.
7) Illegal immigration, on average, went down during his 4 years.
8) He started standing up to the CCP like no other president.
9) He renegotiated several international trade deals which were somewhat better than what we had.
10) He kept us out of the Paris Fucking Climate Accord
11) He pushed for energy independence and allowed more pipelines to be built and drilling on federal lands.
12) He reduces bureaucratic regulations tremendously.
13) He kept Jeb Bush, and his ilk, out of the White House.
Are these accomplishments nothing? Would they have come about under Hillary?
I have never liked Trump as a person. He is not someone I believe I would get a long with. But...I do not have Trump-Derangement-Syndrome and can see many positive things which the man has done, that no body else would have attempted, much less pulled off.
He was not only much better than Hillary, he was unbelievably good in many areas. Period.

I’m saying that Trump has abused the very people who have been long-abused by politicians of both parties. There is no good evidence of election-turning voter fraud. This ass of a man can’t accept defeat to he’s pulled in hundreds of thousands into his cult-of-personality to try to bypass the truth. He’s a conman. A liar. He’s abused those who have been long abused.

The lifelong-appointment Supreme Court justices will stick. But in the past month, he’s painted graffiti on any real accomplishments he’s had. He’ll be remembered now as the Mad King George.

It appears to me that you have some difficulty discerning between Trump zealots and zealots of the U.S.A. You have hinted at me being a Trump zealot a number of times. To be clear, I am not a Trump zealot, I am a zealot for the United States of America. I believe the same is true of Senator Cruz. He is also no great friend of Trump, but is willing to stand up against the fraud being perpetrated.

Bullshit!. If you don't consider the numerous illegal laws and diktats issued by governors and secretaries of state as fraud or illegal, if you don't consider the erasure of voting logs from machines to be illegal or fraud.
Oh what's the use.
