I certainly don't take the side of one of the most evil men of our day, Putin. Nor, do I. Russia and Russians can be so brave and honorable but have the incredible bad fortune to be governed by leaders who take the Russian people for granted. From the time of the earliest Czars, with very few and short exceptions, Russian rulers have been despots. For reasons passing understanding, the Russian people seem willing to tolerate the most evil and heinous acts on the part of their rulers without complaint. Russia at one time was an isolated world within the general European sphere. In some ways it still is but western media and western thought has penetrated Mother Russia, she should be pregnant with rebellion but apparently she is sterile. I wonder was Russia better off under the Communists?

Wow. More great analysis. I can't help coming away thinking that there is something deeply askew with the Russian people. Too much vodka? That probably doesn't help. But something's not quite all right there.

I suspect things in the Eastern Ukraine battlefield will speed up shortly. The Russians and LPR forces have completely encircled a group of an estimated 1,500-2,000 Ukrainian soldiers around Gorsky-Zolote. An equal, or greater number appear to be tactically encircled in the Sievierodonetsk-Lysychanks area, many of whom are said to be foreign mercenaries. And a group of about 800 Ukrainians of the Territorial Defense apparently mutinied and refused to march into the Gorsky-Zolote caldron before it was closed. There have been such refusals before, but this is a very large group.
Why Zelensky does not allow his troops to withdraw is unknown.

Further confirmation that the West is being led by fools, idiots and criminals. Like the writer of the first article, I tend to think that much of this was planned. But I can't completely dismiss the possibility of overarching incompetence. Is that the Petro-dollar I see sinking in the West? And here is another sign of the times. The West has no idea of the historic resentment built up against it from colonial times. Of course, money talks and now Russia is going to spread it around Asia. Watch the USA's importance in that sphere drop even further. Indonesia and Russia j/v on massive oil refinery Notice, this j/v will help Indonesia with its domestic supply of fuel. It also moves up the production scale which is what Indonesia has long wanted. The profits and jobs arising from refining crude oil to product will come to Indonesia as opposed to majors in Singapore or elsewhere.

But I can't completely dismiss the possibility of overarching incompetence. In my travels in Asia, Central and South America, Europe, and Middle East; the one constant seems to be incompetence. Granted most of my time was not living on the economy as Mr. K but as a historian I believe I can speak to the consistency of just general stupidity coupled to malice and incompetence. Take these three together and you get Joe Biden.

This Fidel-wanna-be dick with his scruffy beard and ubiquitous green fatigues is really beyond shame. According to him, it is the responsibility of everyone else to "rebuild" the Ukraine. This scumbag is only asking for $750 billion. What percentage do you think he and his friends will end up skimming off the top, bottom and middle? What I find most disturbing is that the idiots leading the West seem to be actually listening to this asshole. Maybe because they want to skim some off themselves? It is the duty of the democratic world to rebuild the UkraineThe longer this goes on, the more convinced I am that this swine will end up either in a mansion in Palm Beach, or against a wall like Ceausescu. I have never seen a more shameless swindler in my life. It's as if Martin Sheen actually got to the White House. The Russians are crushing the Ukrainians and have taken all of the Donbas. There are signs that the Ukrainian Army are running away from the area, leaving their weapons behind. The Russians have taken most of the Black Sea Coast without even trying very hard. It appears the Russian Parliament is about to pass a military act, similar to which was used here during the KFF fraud. This will empower the government to instruct all manufacturers in Russia what they must make. Perhaps the Russians are ramping up for an expanded campaign in the Ukraine and will not stop at the Donbas, Odessa, the Dnieper or Kiev. Maybe they will stop at Lvov. Maybe not. In the meantime, a German minister has asked Germans to take cold showers, cut back on heating, driving, etc., etc. in order to save energy. Another said that if Russia cuts off deliveries of gas and there is a normal winter, Germany will run out of gas in a couple of months. I have warned people that Germany has less than three months to avoid disaster and this minister is confirming what I say. It starts getting cold in Germany during September. By the way, the USA paid to rebuild itself after the Revolutionary War was over. Furthermore, it paid sums to England for various claims by loyalists as well. It also paid its loans from France incurred during the war.

I see others agree with me. Zelensky is a conman of epic proportions. To put his $750 billion demand in context here are a few details. The estimated 2021 GDP of the Ukraine was $181 billion. So Zecrooksky is demanding over 4x the Ukraine's annual GDP to "rebuild" the place. The greatest damage done during this war has been done in Eastern areas which are never going back to the Ukraine. In fact, the Russians are already in places like Mariupol repairing and rebuilding. So the Ukraine won't need to spend any money to "rebuild" there. While there has been some damage done elsewhere in the Ukraine, it is minimal compared to what has been done in the East. A few billion could probably cover it, but it is not our responsibility. Of course, our elites are just as crooked as Zecrooksky and the other Ukrainian elites. Biden & Co. will not be able to take millions-upon-millions out of the Ukraine if the West doesn't keep supplying funds to Kiev. There is a reason that the country which everyone thought had great prospects after the dissolution of the USSR (its per capita GDP was larger than Russia's) has become a basket case. (In 1989 the Ukraine's per capita GDP was 10% higher than Russia's. Now Russia's is almost 3x that of the Ukraine.)

I warned about this at the very beginning. Arms donated by West to Ukraine being sold on black market Even the New-World-Order-Globalist in-house sheet the Financial Times had an above-the-fold story on it's printed version. It took them long enough. There have been indications of this for months. It appears that some in the Ukrainian Army have not only sold French "Caesar" howitzers to Russia (Production cost about 7 million Euros, discount sales price from Ukrainians to Russians $120,000), but now there is a rumor from credible people that one of America's HIMAR systems has been sold to the Russians for about $800,000 plus a bit over $300,000 for the accompanying missiles. These systems don't worry me so much, but the Manpads and Javelins are very concerning. Should some passenger jet fall out of the sky, then those scumbags like Cornyn, Graham and McConnell need to be held to account. This another example of the stupidity and criminality of those running the West. Aid to warring nations needs to be thought out and planned.

Maybe they have figured out that perversion is present, to some degree in society, but that doesn't mean one has to promote it. Insanity is also present, to some degree, in society, but it is only recently that it has been promoted by those in charge, i.e. the KFF fraud. The Climate Change panic is another example of promoting insanity in a society. Believe me when I say, out overlords have figured out and perfected their methodology for taking over control of the planet; Promote Insanity. It is up to us to stay sane and fight back. Keep it to yourself

Both insanity and perversion are part of the human condition. In our time both seem to be growing in favor by what is a relativity small minority of people are driving the culture. A small amount of insanity and even perversion is necessary for a society to function. I don't know where the line is but it has obviously been crossed.

I would change that statement a bit.
"A small amount of insanity and perversion is to be expected in a society. We are only human. However, when these two maladies cross the line and become acceptable or mainstream, they must be corralled and put back in their confined, compact dark place."
We have been subjected to/seen how easy it is to spread mass hysteria. If a society lets this go on too long, it is lost.

The Ukraine has been singularly unlucky having this dick as its president. I tried to link to a video talking about his photo-shoot for Vogue magazine, but I couldn't. The below will have to do. The East Wing This asshole and his wife are doing their best to establish their brand for when the Ukraine is ruined and they high-tail it to Palm Beach, Florida. But I think it is daily becoming more likely that he will meet a sudden violent end. (Administered by someone who now works for him.)

He should have consulted Kung, Artler, and Nelson. What a disastrous optic. We would have told him that Guns & Ammo or Soldier of Fortune were the magazines to do a cover for, if one must. But Vogue is where the libtards go to virtue signal. I would expect the Babylon Bee will use this as future material.

A sign that this is particularly the case in Germany. Let them eat cake German industry is getting killed, and German industry is the biggest driver of prosperity in the EU. This would be comical if it weren't so tragic. Evil Clown Show

An article came out a couple of weeks back in the Marine Corps Gazette, which analysed the Russian military action in the Ukraine. Unlike most of the rubbish one reads in the American and European press, this piece broke down the operation based on what had happened, not on propaganda. The writer was impressed with what the Russians have done so far. I could not download the piece in the Marine Corps Gazette, so have linked to a piece at Naked Capitalism which gives a little background and shows some excerpts from the article in the MCG. Analysis of Russian Operation in the Ukraine Rumor has it that the piece in the MCG was written by Lt. General Paul Van Riper. For an idea of who this man is, I suggest you read the Wiki piece on Millennium Challenge 2002, a military exercise which the boys in the Pentagon had set up as a showpiece. General Van Riper was having none of that nonsense and did not play along. I am amazed he reached Lt. General as he clearly thinks for himself. The United States certainly needs such men, as we have long been led by a bunch of lying politicized hacks who wear stars on their shoulders. This is how we have been able to achieve such notable military failures as the war in Afghanistan and Gulf War II.

Another sign that Poland's apparent support for the Ukraine will weaken. I still believe there is a good chance that Poland will claim parts of the Ukraine once Russia pushes further west. The Ukraine must admit Volyn Genocide

Interesting article on the Ukraine war and Russian capabilities from Institute for the study of war. www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-august-24The Kremlin is likely attempting to shield Moscow City residents from the military recruitment campaign, which may lead to some social tensions. As ISW has previously reported, Russian authorities are likely using the guise of education camps and psychological rehabilitation in order to facilitate the transfer of children to Russia as part of a wider population replacement campaign.[43]
