I was just talking to a hard-core conservative about the election. I'm of the "send all the illegal aliens back to where they belong." He said, basically, "We need them to pick our fruit, man the construction jobs, etc."
It's the same thing I heard from a creepy liberal yute who was part of that roundtable scattershot debate that a bunch of college yutes had with Ben Shapiro a while back. It was the same sentiment: We need these people to do our jobs.
I get the definite impression that they are looked upon by all sides as some kind of necessary underclass. How interesting.
I don't deny for a moment that many of these illegal aliens are hard working. And, push come to shove, I would gladly trade 2 million of these hard-workers if we could also send to Cuba the same amount of liberal yutes who aren't working and are playing video games in their mother's basement at the age of 30.
But that's not likely to happen. So there seems to be a general acceptance of the illegal aliens as an Eloi-like underclass. They will do the jobs we can't be bothered to do. I'm sure the Trump administration will send back some of the criminals...that is to say, the criminals whose crimes are worse than jumping the border. But I really don't expect much more. We'll see.

Glad I wasn't part of that conversation. I may have spit at the guy. The question is why do we need them to pick our fruit, man the construction jobs, etc.? Perhaps because our social system has become so corrupt that we leave behind millions of people who could be part of the economy in positive ways instead of taking welfare, selling and taking drugs or spending their lives in their mama's basement playing video games.
People like your conservative, who I suspect is actually a libertarian at least as regards economics goes, are happy to ignore the problems around them and let them fester. They say tsk, tsk when they see the damage across our country which has been wrought by big government policies, but are they willing to roll up their sleeves and try to solve these problems? And what are the roots of the problems? Split families, illegitimacy, schools acting as half-assed baby sitting agencies, men being condemned for being men. I could go on. Such conservatives are willing to see the country go down the tubes as long as their cantaloupe doesn't get too expensive.
Over the O'Biden administration we have all paid much higher prices for everything, but those who gained from this "inflation" are at the upper end. How about we send the illegals back, get some Americans into jobs and at least a broader range of the public will get something out of higher prices.
Send all the criminal illegal aliens back to where they came from. Hint: They are all criminals as they did not come in through any traditional legal route.
Then go after Mayorkas and many others who facilitated and promoted the largest invasion of our country.

Holy shit. You knocked that one out of the park. You could work that up into an article for American Thinker. Most people don't have the stones (hey hey) to tell it like it is.
He really surprised me because he very much is a NASCAR-ish type of person. He's involved in racing. He sells racing products to race teams and drivers. I've known him for 30 years as a client, although we don't tend talk much about politics. But when he has done so (he's a roving soliloquy...there's not much getting a word in edgewise), it's been pretty right-wing stuff.
I can only guess what might be going on:
1) He employs illegal aliens. 2) He's picked up Progressivism like second-hand smoke from the racing industry which has for decades now been entirely corporate with about zero good-old-boy. Richard Petty was a good old boy. None of the racers (that I'm aware of) are. They are simulacrums of the corporate world. 3) He's morphed his beliefs to please his wife. 4) He's doing well and doesn't have to care.
Like I said, I really don't know. But I suspect it is one or more of these.

I got stones coming out the wazoo, or in close proximity thereto. Stones are my specialty. If stones was diamonds, I'd be a multi-millionaire.

I've been listing to Amazon Music lately (the "free" part that comes with an Amazon Prime account). It's limited. You don't get on-demand playing of anything...sort of. You can choose an album to play and it will play random tracks from it as part of a "shuffle play" of similar music mixed in. They obviously want to you pay that extra $12.00 a month to get on-demand everything.
So you end up listening to basically their playlists built around certain themes. One that I like is "classic crooners," or whatever they call it. And, indeed, I've heard some music I wouldn't have otherwise, including a beautiful song yesterday by someone I'd never heard of: Melody Gardot.
But interspersed here and there on this playlist have been songs by Jimmy Durante. I mean, that's about as old-school as you can get.
However, regarding my "conservative" client, it just occurred to me what the real reason is for an illegal-alien-friendly attitude. If memory serves (and I've only met her once), his second wife that he's currently married to is from Guatemala...or is some south-of-the-border ethnicity.

That could certainly account for his attitude. One wonders if she came in legally or not.
In our case, Mdm. Flu is staunchly anti-illegal alien. She came into this country legally. It was very inconvenient and it cost thousands to do so. We had been married for 15 years when the process started and she was also the mother of an American citizen.
Let me put it delicately. F*#k illegal aliens and the greedy libertarian and country-hating leftist scum who support them.

I think Trump is very wise in this case. I would not let the present FBI "clear" anyone or anything regarding my incoming administration either.

An excellent nomination! This man was one of the few top medical people who spoke sanely from the very beginning of the KFF fraud. He was one of the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration.

Is it possible the Zuckerberg is bending the knee to Trump in order to avoid any kind of prosecution of splitting up of his company? Of course, we want these guys to join our side, to work with us instead of against us. We should be suspicious of his motives. But this is what power does. People do tend to bend their knee to it, whether it is the power of Wokeness, political correctness, feminism, the Rainbow Nazis, etc. All these entities, and more, have had most of us bending our knee to it for years out of fear of the power we faced. It's about time the shoe was on the other foot, I say.

In principle, I would like to see Zuckerberg and his company brought to justice. In practice, there are so many wrongs to be righted, criminals who need to be indicted that I am not sure the Justice Dept. will have time to go after all of them.
A quick list of those who need to be made examples of:
1. Wray
2. Comey
3. Garland 4. Lisa Monaco 5. Jack Smith 6. Alvin Bragg 7. Judge Merchan 8. Judge Engoron 9. Letitia James
10. Fani Willis
KFF
11. Fauci 12. Collins 13. Birx 14. Ceos of Pfizer and Moderna
Treason or insubordination
15. Milley 16. Esper 17. Kelly 18. Brennan
19. Gina Haspel
These are just those I could think of off the top of my head. Of course, there are many more who need to be pursued. The only way to keep these people under control is to make them pay dearly for their crimes. Even then, it will be hard to keep them from coming back.

Mine too. In fact, I started off my list with Fauci at the top, but changed in order to put people in certain categories.
By the way, I forgot Mayorkas who is up there with Fauci and Garland as far as I am concerned.
