Sound of Freedom

I have long been a fan of Caviezel. He took a big career hit by standing by his beliefs. " The Passion of the Christ infuriated many in the entertainment industry. Screw them. But he is still working and even had a very successful TV series, Person of Interest. 

I heard today that "The Sound of Freedom" will open in at least 3,400 movie theaters on July 4th. That is a very respectable number. And it is still growing. 

As soon as homosexuality was normalized, the ability to shame and shun regarding sexual perversions was greatly nullified. I know that "nullified" is a binary word and needs no modifier such as "greatly." But I didn't know what else to write. Maybe "greatly inhibited" would be better. But much of this stuff is approaching the point where contrary opinions are all but nullified.

Granted, this stuff has been going on a long time and…

Observation #4: I had no idea this was a 20 billion (or whatever the figure was) industry. And…

Observation #5: I don't think a movie/documentary such as this is going to do much to burnish the image of "people of color" being the guiltless, idyllic angels as portrayed by the Left.



It seems highly unlikely that he killed himself. The reality is that he was probably being worked for a plea bargain if he gave up some names. A phone call was made by someone to one of the names to be likely named. I actually don't think Clinton would be concerned enough with it to commit murder. But surely there were some people who visited that island who had reputations to maintain. I just think at this point that everyone knows that Bill is a sexual predator.

Honestly, I'd want to have a conference with both Dennis Prager and Jordan Peterson before trying to answer the question of "How did we get here".

I'll go along with the modifier "greatly" in this case.  It leaves no room for doubt.

I knew a couple of people who went for such things. There was one place in Belgium that I heard of, which catered to them. 
I do have a problem with orgies. They are a sure sign of decadence and degeneracy.

The way I see it is that an orgy is the result of a type of mental or moral failing. I doubt many virgins think about orgies when they think about sex. They probably have some specific person or ideal in mind.

The idea of an orgy arises from being jaded, satiated, bored.  From engaging in so much meaningless sex that one reaches a point of ennui. Instead of stepping back and asking why one is experiencing such despair or numbness, those who participate in orgies are either too shallow or depraved to sit back consider their positions seriously.  They keep raising the stakes to create interest, and to try and experience something new and forbidden.  The problem is that what is new today, becomes old tomorrow. And if newness/difference is one's main motivation, one will have to do crazier and crazier things just to keep from being bored to death. 

I think much the same thing is at work for many who become homosexuals or lesbians, trans-sexuals and the like. 

Having learned about "The Sound of Freedom", which is being distributed through Angel Studios, I decided to look into other projects handled by Angel.

I came across a very interesting series called The Chosen, which is a series based on the life of Jesus. The series has had great success and is into its third season.

I have watched the first four episodes of season 1 and must say that I am favorably impressed. Each episode is about 50 minutes long and each went by very quickly. The cinematography, costumes, setting and actors are all good. The stories are straightforward and, at times, touching. So far, the series has concentrated on the life of the Jews under the Romans from about 2-3 B.C. to A.D. 26. They will speak to anyone brought up in the Judeo/Christian tradition who hasn't flipped out and hates God.

There are a few things which were somewhat off, such as metal buckles for sandals, a little too much of modern slang such as the use of OK, and Simon saying "something went like clockwork." Of course they had ways to tell time in those days, but there were no "clockworks." But these things are minor and cannot much harm the overall quality of this series.

I watched the series on at Angel.com, which I arrived at through Roku TV. The cost is zip, zero, nada, and there are no commercials. If one wishes, one can make a contribution on the Angel.com site, which will help keep the studio running and finance future projects.

Interestingly, the Wikipedia page does not mention that the series can be viewed at Angel.com. They mention Amazon, Netflix and other sites, but not Angel.com, which is the studio which helped produce the series and charges nothing to view it. Hmmm. Maybe they don't mention it because it is a studio which openly states its mission is to produce decent movies. I heard one of the founders say something like this, "We want to make films that bright forth light. By that we mean beauty, truth, love and goodness." From what I have seen, they are doing a good job.

I am now hooked on The Chosen and plan to watch all of season 1 shortly. Should the quality stay the same, I will go on to the next season and then the next.

Probably two elements go into this:

1) The Left thinks of themselves as moral exemplars, therefore they could not have missed something big like child trafficking. Therefore it must be minimized.

2) The Left has long ago hitched its cart to sexual deviancy, therefore they must minimize this. They are right now actively promoting child trafficking via Drag Queen Story Hour and such things.

3) The Left almost certainly contains 90% of the moral perverts out there, therefore this is a case of Dracula being repelled by the cross.

Okay. Three elements.

That's the sound of freedom as well.
