At this point, I couldn't care less if he wanted three terms. If the Left won't play by the rules, we shouldn't be bound by them either.

I have watched many of of Trump's speeches across the country. I watched his speech in the Bronx today and can say it was the best speech I have ever heard him give. He was obviously very comfortable with the people and environment. The crowd loved him. I saw several thousand, but have read many reports that there were 20-25,000 thousand around the event. Rumble in the Bronx

I heard it was a great rally. And I like the idea of going into enemy territory and making inroads. He may not win New York. But it will leave other people in other states with the perception that he is gaining ground and winning.

In other breaking news, Edmonton beat Dallas last night in double overtime in game 1 of the western conference finals. There's not much to parse here. This series could go either way. These are two well-matched teams.
In the eastern conference finals (game 1 was Wednesday), the Florida Panthers dominated the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. In this case, I think that win is significant and bodes will for the Panthers. New York simply had no answer for the Panthers style of play. Going into this, I had a sneaking suspicion that the Panthers could make quick work out of the Rangers, although I'm still rooting for the Rangers.

I just watched Trump give his speech at the 2024 Libertarian Convention. This is the first time, that I know of, a presidential candidate from one party gave a speech at another party convention. Trump made his case and asked them to help save the country by joining with him. He asked them to either nominate him as their candidate or vote for him and make their usual 3% of the vote work.
He sounded much like us here when he condemned the military-industrial-security-state complex. I have never heard a major candidate be so specific on this before.
Trump is like no other presidential candidate in history. He has both the balls and humility to go to another party's convention and ask the members for their vote in order to save the country from fascism and collapse. Amazing.

And here is Biden giving a speech.
How pathetic is that? What's worse, it is dangerous. The whole world is looking and laughing.

That's a good move to go directly to the fringe Libertarian kooks and ask for their support. I give Trump credit for doing real "outreach" while the squishy RINOs only talk about it or equate it with basically agreeing with the Left.

You go, Blondie! She ultimately makes a good case for why Trump has a chance. Whether or not Trump would deliver on his rhetoric is where I part with most of the Trump supporters. I sort of doubt that even 10% of his rhetoric is worth the paper it's printed on. But ousting Joe Biden and instituting sane energy policies would be a yuge improvement.

One would suppose so. We used to laugh at Adi Amin. Now we have our own version of the ridiculous leader. Idiot women voters put Biden there. We'll see if enough idiot women voters go smart.

I came to the conclusion that if Trump won and did nothing, we would still be better off than if Biden won. It is better to have the car run out of gas at the edge of the abyss, than for it to keep rolling until it goes over the edge.

No suppose about it. I speak regularly with people overseas and the general reaction to Biden is 1) the man is a joke, or 2) it is a damn shame that America has allowed itself to come to this point. In the first instance they are laughing, in the second instance they are sad for the USA.
Let me repeat something I said many years ago. Americans neither know, nor care much about the rest of the world. What happens around the world is not broadcast into our homes, day in, day out. It is very much the opposite for much of the world. What America does around the world and what happens in America is seen daily in the homes of hundreds-of-millions of Asians, Europeans, Africans and South Americans.

I have been a big advocate of "outreach" since the 2004 election. I maintain that simply going out into different communities, talking to different groups on a regular basis will garner some votes which were not there before. Trump is the first Repuklican candidate who has done this in any serious way.

And while doing so, challenge the basic tenets....which I think Trump is doing (more or less) but which the RINOs never do.

While we run our circus act here, do those in Europe recognize the Bozos they've continued to elect? Glass houses, and all that.

Absolutely. They cannot believe the present state of Europe. But these are people who grew up with America leading the world. America was the example to the world. Now it is no better, and in some ways worse, than Europe. Many of these people are grieving the decline of America.

While I admire Trump for addressing the insane asylum, aka as the Libertarian Party, my opinion about the inmates has not changed. They break down into two main types of patients, demented libertines and economic utopians/vultures.
Neither add much positive to the country and one only has to watch some of the video coming out of the convention to understand this. That said, there is no law against being a nut. But we should never allow nuts to get behind the wheel and drive us across the cliff.
In a society of virtue signalers, the Libertarian Party has perhaps the greatest concentration of virtual signalers in the country. Don't believe me? Just look at who they nominated to run as their presidential candidate.
Another photo of the Libertarian nominee.
